What is the silliest/dumbest grounds for breakup rule you’ve heard?

I’ll go first. My boyfriend’s rule is if I ever tell anyone (my best friend/any family members) his middle name, he’ll break up with me. His middle name has been a secret since HS and he wants it to stay that way even though he doesn’t dislike the name.

I was not broke up with for a random reason, he felt I could not be trusted to stay loyal to him because I appeared to be unsatisfied with his behaviour in the relationship he wanted to end things before he became deeper invested. I was disappointed at the time, but now I believe that if luck is on my side I can find a better option for my self. I wish him happiness and hope he lives a good life, even if I never talk to him again.

Definitely depends on what the lie is about and how often one lies to their partner. I wouldn’t call that an unusual ground for breaking up.

He said that he doesn’t dislike it, but wants to keep the reputation on no one knowing his middle name other than the few people who already know it. It seems a little silly to me lol.
