My boyfriend’s friend said I’m ugly? How should I react to this?

My boyfriend and I have been together for nearly 6 months almost. He said from day 1, he found me incredibly beautiful, sexy, hot, cute, and pretty. He always shows me off, he posts me on social media, and I’ve met his mom and grandparents. He has this friend that he smokes with sometimes, he says when he’s high he can be pretty fucked up and have attitudes with people, I told my boyfriend that he shouldn’t get involve too much. I’m not trying to say he should cut his friend off completely but I felt super disrespected and none of my girl friends would ever cross the line to be inappropriate and even talk about the men we’re dating or in a relationship with. Let alone my boyfriend wouldn’t put his nose in his friends business about his friends girlfriend and baby mama. My boyfriend also said it doesn’t matter what anyone thinks that he loves me and only me and finds me attractive. In my whole life I’ve struggled with insecurities though. I’ve had some people say I’m super hot and some guys say “eww not my type” I’m not obese but I’m not skinny, I have an average body size, I’m more of an average style girl too but I am natural, I do my hair, fix myself up, and dress cute. I don’t like makeup because it makes me look very clownish but at the end of the day I feel good enough it’s just some people have dragged me down.

My boyfriend keeps saying he’s pretty sure he’s high on something and I feel like it’s no excuse nor should he make excuses for him to disrespect me. Do I have a valid point?

Do you love your boyfriend’s friend? Is he your type? No? Then never mind his friend.
Same with everyone else, some are going to think you’re beautiful and some are going to say you’re not their type. Don’t let it bother you.

I just feel completely disrespected regardless. I’m not dating the friend nor would even comment and cross that line because my man is the only guy I care about but I feel like this could turn toxic in the long run given the dude sounds immature and I’d rather him cut him off if it gets this much negative behavior

i'd be concerned that your boyfriend allows his friends to say stuff like that about you. it should be as simple as "hey, don't talk about her"

i think you should tell your boyfriend that you'd hope he'd defend from people saying rude and insulting stuff about you. his friends should be able exhibit respect for you

You shouldn't "react" at all. In fact, you shouldn't even dignify it with a response except perhaps to say "to each their own. I'm certain there are plenty of women who think you're ugly too". LOL. But I do prefer just ignoring the douchebag.

My boyfriend keeps saying he’s high on something and he is losing his mind but regardless I feel like nobody should make excuses for someone about them disrespecting their partner or spouse right? I wouldn’t ever let a friend of mine do that, it’s about being mutual in a relationship that’s my view and his “friend” owes me an apology or else this is gonna be too toxic.

What good is an apology? It won't mean anything. He'll say "I apologize for CALLING you ugly", but he'll still think you are (which shouldn't matter to you either way), so is that good enough?

What's more important is how your boyfriend handled it, and who your boyfriend thinks is more important to take care of regarding this matter.
