Like your bird, wouldn’t be a big deal. He/she sounds like they have a pleasant demeanor. You can always move their cage around. I’m still in awe at how much of a bird whisperer you are in training it not to defecate on you. You must teach us your secrets.
HOWEVER, my aunt once had some breed of bird who had a bad habit of ripping patches of hair out of people’s head. That I would have a problem with.
Or my uncle had this big god damn hound that had a problem with grabbing and air humping anyone he saw. He was genuinely frightening to kids. He had to be kept in isolation.
Or when a residence smells of cat piss or wet dog because owners won’t properly groom their pets. Couches and chairs matted with pet hair. I recall my father being saddled with a lot the chores of taking care of family pets while the rest of us got the fun stuff.

My stupid cousin did that. If she's moving into MY house, absolutely not! It would start with the pet then she would start changing other things. This happened to my cousin. She made him get rid of his goldfish 'cuz she said it was "dirty", but then put like three cats in his house.
Well I have a snake so I made sure that the guy I’m interested in is okay with it before I even move forward with dating him. Even tho my noodle doesn’t love me I still lover her 🥲 she’s my dream pet, I also spent a decent amount of money to get her.
I’ve always wanted a snake ever since I watched Harry Potter lol so yeah not gonna get rid of my dream pet for anyone else.
My pet is my family and I am not going to abandon my family for anyone.
It would be a very easy choice.

Nah. I hate dogs but I ain't going to ask someone to get rid of their's that's dumb. Probably just wouldn't get with said person because we have different views on dogs lol or try to deal with it. But wouldn't ask them to get rid of it.
Other pets though I like. I love cats, and well can't say I've had a bird but yours is cute! Personally I want a raccoon but it's illegal here now, didn't used to be so bummer for me.

Animals don’t understand why when we get rid of them, so if you commit to a pet, you commit for the entirety of their lifespan. Not to mention you might break up, and your pet is gone forever either way. If you don’t consider your pet to be your child, I don’t even want to know you.
If I have a pet, it means it already created a bound with me. I wouldn't dump my friend for some... human being...
If they don't like your pet then it isn't meant to be. It's not fair to the animal especially if youve had them a long time it's pretty cruel. And also not fair to you as you would be getting rid of a close friend and company.

If someone doesn't like your pet especially if it's a beautiful bird and not some exotic reptile.
If it was something dangerous like a snake or something like a chameleon I find it really reasonable to get rid of it or keep it in a cage but otherwise I have no problem with it.
