Trending & News 1. I'm a traditional guy. It's my job to protect my wife/girlfriend. That means if we're going somewhere I'm the one driving 99% of the time since then I'm in a position to protect her in the arena of road battles.
2. For the 2-3 times a year the wife is driving I don't comment on my wife's driving unless there's an emergency situation. I have the self control to be able to not comment. Some people don't want to learn new things and no matter how much it doesn't make sense you have to respect that. Well, you don't have to but from my POV it's a man's mission in life to have self control so I roll with that.
3. Out of sight out of mind. Does it really matter if she almost gets in a car accident 2x a day, as long as there's no actual accident? Out of sight out of mind. That's her problem. If she wants help she knows she can ask me.
I'm a graduate of Skip Barber Racing School, raced in SCCA for a couple of years, and I drive about 30,000 miles a year. In my life, I've only been involved in one at-fault accident (I was also rear-ended twice), and that was because someone pulled behind me while I was backing up and I tapped them before I could stop.
Given 37 years of driving, I'd say that's pretty good.
So much so that everyone always expects me to drive. Lol.
My girl hates to drive, and while she's not bad, she's definitely not confident, and insists that I drive.
I’ve only driven a few times before my permit expired years ago. I scared my mom to death, she would harp on me in the car and she’s not the best driver so I didn’t want to listen to her, almost hit a car going around a curve past some train tracks. (Wasn’t my last time driving but it put me off it.)
(Her advice wasn’t clear and I’m chronically anxious.) For me personally if you made it safe back home. Talk to your partner about it calmly if their defensive. (I drive better with acquaintances who are not scared (better advice) than with people that are scared of my driving. )
Always best to communicate when there's an issue. If they are a mature person they won't feel offended, and if they are a good partner they will try to change.
However it's pretty damn common for me to meet guys without a licence (most of my friends are still learning to drive) and if a guy without one were to give me pointers I think I'd flip my lid. Pulling over, he can walk home. If I'm the one having to drive us everywhere because he can't pass his test, his mouth better be shut 💀

I picked "trying to help doesn't help" because I can talk shit and give pointers all I like.
1) She's a woman
2) She's an Asian
3) She wears glasses
God shit all over her when it came to driving or not breaking shit. If life depended on driving... she would go extinct and I'd have to find another Asian woman to bang.

She always admitted I am the better driver, she totaled a car in college and had another mishap when were LTR. Would even pick me up from the airport and made me drive her Lexus most of the time. Now when we did the long road journeys we'd swap regularly.
The only person I have a say in improving their driving is the one I taught to drive. So he will listen to me if I have something to say. Everyone else takes it as criticism and not instruction though.
YES it is worth it to help improve their driving. i just want them to be safe
It's worth it. As a matter of fact, your life depends on it. Because if they continue with their risky behaviors, then one day you may NOT get there alive.
Lets just say there is a reason my car is Stick...
If you think your partner can't drive, then dont let them. Dont put yourself in danger!
My husband’s driving is good but this question made me laugh because I know of a few others that need improvement.
I expect to be a passenger princess unless we are taking a long trip or something.
Yes, suggest improvements
Shut your eyes and “Pray”
Don’t resolve it in the car.
