I was watching clips and one of them talked about the “orange peel theory” and it got me thinking….
I think people should not use it as a test like most of these clips were showing

I've never heard of that so I looked it up...
The "Orange Peel Theory" refers to a relationship test popularized on TikTok after the "I Peeled My Orange Today" slideshow, which focuses on asking a partner to peel an orange and watching how they react to the request. The idea is that small acts of service are not just about the action itself but about what it represents in the relationship.
Now that I know what it is, it makes no sense to me. It did get lots of action on TikTok.
Yeah there was another fad on tiktok in 2023 which was built on the same principles, the olive theory. Which means if you don't like olives, you belong with someone who likes them. So people would record themselves going "ew, olives", the partner saying, "I'll eat yours," and then turning to the camera with the words 'the olive theory'. Tiktok loves relationship trends I guess
@wiltingrosepetal wasn’t that brought up in the show “how I met your mother”?
I wouldn't know, but if so then that'll be where the trend stems from
Thanks for MHO
I thought the orange peel thing was the old wives tale of it spelling out the first letter of your soulmates name like in Elias Grace
