Why does a man show concern for a woman?

I have been in an emotionally abusive relationship for a while... just recently got away from it and I had a guy friend who was there for me through it all.

I think he may have developed feelings for me and I have feelings for him already. If there are any visible changes or he notices a change in my mood or anything, he always will ask if I'm okay or see if he can do anything to help me. Could he have feelings? Why does he show concern for me?

Keep in mind, my last relationship Made me feel unworthy, undeserving, and like I didn't get to have good things because I didn't earn them from him like he expected me to and then punished me for trying to figure myself out when I realized what was happening

What's wrong in a human behaving as humanly? What is need of joining it with something or questioning everything like trying to read inbetween lines even when there is nothing?

This is irony of nowadays, now we get attracted to evil things but see good behaviour of someone as mystery.

You like him is normal because he is kind treating you good etc. But it could be his good behaviour as a friend only na. Why can't you take it like this only instead of thinking like maybe he likes you etc unless he clearly mention it?

He cares for you. Since you’re brainwashed into thinking you’re unworthy, undeserving, etc, I’m sure this is strange for you. My advice would be to heal first and then get into a relationship. Either way, take care. 🙏🏽❤️

Not sure. I almost never show any concern for women because

1. Their problems (at least the ones they complain openly about) are often miniscule

2. I don't need them thinking that I'm in love with them.

3. It would be disingenuous of me to pretend like I care.

Oh sweetie, you're young. Age does not determine knowing better, experience does. Your experiences are different than mine just like mine are different than yours. It's not a "toddler question " if you don't know any better, it's a learning question and a process for some one healing and trying to reconfigure things after an unfortunate experience as well as trying not to get hurt again. Questioning motivation from another human being is a defense mechanism in my case. I suggest getting off your high horse and looking around.
