Does abortion affect men?

I'm asking this because my ex boyfriend and I had an abortion from an unplanned pregnancy. We had been together for 4 years. Our difference in dealing with this lead to the breakdown of the relationship. He didn't want the baby at the time, he wanted the abortion. After it was done he never spoke about it once. I struggled to deal with the whole experience and was difficult as I couldn't talk to him at all about it. When we broke up he even mentioned how he feels I just want sympathy.

It does but again such things differ from person to person. Not everyone is same and everyone has their own character traits.
Sadly, the guy you were with lacked empathy. It's obviously okay to not want a baby but not even mentioning it and not checking on how you're doing is totally wrong.
As much as it could be unplanned but in general I feel women are very emotionally involved once they get pregnant.
So, a genuine lovely talk about it all could have paved the way to a better future.

It does affect men they just deal with it in a different way than women. While women feel the need to talk men tend to shut down and deal with it by themselves. None of you is right or wrong. It's important to understand how the male brain works under these type of situations. I'm sorry that you had to go through all that but he's you ex now and you should just move on with your life. Yes, it can. Medical decisions like that can effect people in different ways, men and women. But there are also people that it doesn’t effect, most often men since it’s not being done to them.
