Should I believe what this psychic told me about her?

I have a close friend. We share a deep emotional bond. We have “flirted” before but casually and my friend has told me she’s flirted with friends when she lived in her hometown. We’re both bi girls and we’ve drunkenly made out 4x at my grad party. I initiated. After we both shrugged it off as nothing ( we work together ) although one day I joked how the kiss (es) didn’t mean anything because I also kissed my ex and she was like “well…” and was smirking. we’ve said in the far past to be platonic because we’re coworkers but she’s said sometimes friendships can be more. She’ll tell me I look pretty when I dress up or has told me I should model because of my bone structure but I consider those normal friend things. occasionally she’ll casually touch me. I’ve consulted lots of psychics and some have told me she only sees friendship for now but our relationship will develop into a romantic relationship. Some have said she does have romantic feelings. All of the psychics have told me that she thinks the world of me and I have a special place in her heart ( some of these were tarot ) today I spoke to a psychic on Etsy who I saw a couple of good reviews from other websites but also saw bad reviews about how she just says anything. I asked her about my friend and if we’ll date or if she has feelings and she said my friend has a “respect” for me but no romantic feelings. She also said that my friend was trying to build her social circle with a group of girls and she will be working on something later this year. I had an argument with another coworker yesterday and my friend found out about it and texted me this morning asking if I was okay so I feel like she sees me as more than someone she just respects. My friend doesn’t hang around a group of girls lol she has a couple of new friends but it’s a guy and a girl couple and she’s met them by chance. And I never hear my friend say she actively wants to make new friends lol even though she might be open to it. I don’t know.

We’ve talked about this before, and you sort of shrugged me off when I said she enjoys the attention from you while her boyfriend isn’t around or gone (I think you said he’s a musician, if you mentioned that here then I overlooked it lol), but now I want to double down on that. I don’t think you should be listening to psychics and instead look at the behavior. It’s all fun for her and it means something for you, which isn’t cool at all. I wouldn’t indulge the fun when it’s not so harmless anymore for you, and instead be platonic. Less drama and confusion.

I think it was all fun harmless “bi” stuff up until you made out that night and now you are gaining feelings for her. I just don’t think she’s in it emotionally, and you shouldn’t entertain that, it’ll only hurt you in the end.

I feel like if anything, we’re emotionally connected because we open up to each other about a lot. Even if she wasn’t serious about pursuing anything romantic with me, the emotional component is definitely there.

Also, wouldn’t that be kind of malicious intent? Regardless of how she feels I think it’s fair to say she cares about me at least as a friend and wouldn’t try to intentionally hurt me.

No, I wouldn’t say there’s malicious intent because I don’t think she’s trying to hurt you. I just don’t think she’s being very considerate of you at all, and having fun behind her boyfriends back at your expense.

It’s like a trend or something for younger women to claim to be bisexual or explore their sexuality in that way. In most cases though, after high school or college they settle down with men. Bisexuality ends up being nothing more than taboo, while for another woman it can be a sign that she’s interested in that woman more than only friendship.

I feel like in a big way, you might be trying to minimize how you’re feeling about her, maybe so that it doesn’t get any stronger or so that you won’t be hurt. But do you really think ultimately this passiveness will benefit you? The more you’re hanging out with her, I don’t envision your feelings “lessening”. So to speak. Like you say you’re emotionally connected, but what’s expected to come with that?

Yeah but I literally can’t help it though lol we work together and see each other during the week and she’s super attentive towards me and will notice me pulling back

And I don’t want to invalidate her sexuality. She’s been “out” since she was 17 whereas I’m still technically in the closet. She’s also told me she’s caught feelings for female friends in the past.

It’s possible to have a platonic friendship without any flirting or kissing, so yes babe, you literally can help it lol. Anyway, I can tell you’re very protective of this woman, as you counter everything I say or defend her to some extent.

That’s totally fine, it’s natural for us to do towards people we care about, but when you put up that impenetrable barrier around your relationships (of any kind), you aren’t able to receive outside opinions in a way that you can actually process them. You will only take our feedback and counter with a defense.
