How devoted do you want your life partner to be?

Tough to answer. I've been single for so long that I forget how it feels to be with someone.
I'm very mindful about the fact that you build to the great stuff, the devotion and all of that. You don't just start to date someone and 'BAM' they're ready to die for you. That's something you build up slowly over time.
And I would never demand that, that's crazy to me.

I do love the thought of us being there for each other through the tough times. You know. It should be a partnership. Us against the world, kind of thing.
Like us sitting on the bathroom floor, crying while the other wraps their arm around them.

It kinda is. The bond between parents and their children is permanent, but it changes. There are stages of life that you go through. When you're a child and your parents are raising you, that's different from when you are an adult.
