The more relevant pattern is this: when women feel that they've gained more money and/or status than the man they are with, they leave the man (or sabotage the relationship) about 80% of the time, believing they can and should "trade up." Actually to be honest with you even I have noticed this pattern. However!!! There are many ladies who have initiated and are happily married, one such marriage is my own cousin's. She pursued my brother in law, proposed him fr marriage!! And are now happily married!!! So yes, it does work this way too. I am pretty sure there are many such marriages like my cousin's where the lady has initiated and are happy together long term.
