He just finished a year in jail & he’s a totally different person now. He is super depressed b/c he is struggling to readjust. He lost his job, totaled his vehicle the night he got arrested, and lost his license.

he is withdrawn and basically just drinking, feeling sad, and isolating himself in his garage. I have tried to help him as best as i can. Saved up money for him while he was locked up. It’s not much, but would help pay his bills til he landed a job.

but he doesn't wanna hang out. Says he’s hurting and gotten himself into a situation he can't get out of. Says he doesn't wanna talk to anyone.

how can i let him know i am still here for him and please dont cut me outta his life. If he needs space, i get it. But i dont wanna lose him and i am always here for him to help as best i can.
