Most people are not mature enough, and not honest with themselves enough, to have a friends with benefits relationship.

Many people think that a friends with benefits is a "starter relationship" or "relationship lite", but in fact, a friends with benefits is an ADVANCED relationship that requires that both people be extremely realistic, grounded, and take responsibility for themselves and their choices - often even more than in a true romantic relationship.

Most people also don't TRULY accept that a friends with benefits is not and IS NEVER GOING TO BE a romantic relationship. Too many accept a friends with benefits relationship when they really, often secretly want a real romantic relationship, and then they get upset when they don't get it. Accepting a friends with benefits means you ACCEPT that you're never getting a romantic relationship and that you will never blame anyone but yourself for any hurt feelings in that regard. But that's not what most people ACTUALLY DO. Instead, they lie to themselves, and they lie to their partner, and then they get upset and hurt when they don't get their way - and that means THEY are the problem.

Thus, most people cannot handle FWBs and they should avoid them. Some people CAN handle FWBs, and if they choose to have them, and accept the consequences that come with them, then they're adults, and they have every right to make that choice.

Whether that affects your value is "in the eyes of the beholder", and different people will have different opinions. Generally, people looking for a serious relationship partner are going to be the ones who perceive this as lowering your value, while those just looking for casual sex aren't likely to care.

I believe so, it just doesn't look good, the most common vibe it gives off is that you aren't someone that likes, can or wants to be in committed relationship which only gives off the idea that you aren't worthy of committing to, even if you are, they would have to get to know you but those are the first impressions

Sometimes A friend with benefit is not all we want... We want a friend is who is there in hard times but the friends who gave u any benefit and then tells u what they did by disrespecting u is not your friend!!
