How do I tell my boyfriend that our conversations feels forced and not engaging anymore?

My boyfriend (23M) and I (23M) has been in a relationship for almost 5 months now. He's got work which I understand but almost everyday, while we're in the middle of a conversation, he disappears without replies for hours then comes back like nothing happened. I just hope that he would tell me when he's gonna be busy or got work to do instead of just leaving me hanging. When he does this, I feel like my affection towards him is fading away bit by bit. He used to be so engaging in our conversations but now he often just say "Ohh, okay" as a response for when I'm sharing something with him. This makes me feel, I don't know, sad? It makes me think that the more I show affection or my love for him, the more his fades away. It makes me think that he's being complacent because he knows that I love him. Whenever he just seenzoned my messages, I tend to open another topic for him to reply but his replies are just "Ohh, okay", "Ohh". I'm a highly sensitive person and I overthink a lot. I really love him and this connection but everything feels forced right now. He does like calling me every night but mostly to share about his day which I also loved hearing. How can I tell him without him feeling offended or something?
