Men how would you want your woman girlfriend to show her appreciation for your hard work?

My boyfriend is hardworking long days extra hours. Overcoming a lot of challenges he is learning to adjust to new things in life. Even with his own life going on he has been a huge encouraging support to me. Especially with everything that has happened in this last year. I want to show my appreciation for all of his hard work, and loving support. We are sorta long distance six hours away.

I am tryna find out what guys would want a girl to do to show her appreciation?
I was thinking of surprise visiting where he is for work right now. Would a guy like that, or is it best to let him know in advance I am coming? Also thought of cooking a meal at the park with my campstove. Do guys like girls to cook meals for them, or is that old fashioned? Do guys like getting letters in the mail? Hmmm any ideas of ways to show my appreciation?

Thanks that is a great idea, I had not really thought about lingerie. He expressed before that he thinks my old fashioned style button down cotton pajama top, and pants is sexy. Should I then get sort of matching lingerie to wear underneath.

Because you are in a LDR, best advice is to plan time to go and see him. Could be a surprise or you can plan a trip with him. Even if you go for a weekend or a few days I’m sure he would enjoy spending time with you

Well I do know exactly know where his work is at the moment. I mean I know who he works for, and where it is located here. However, since they sent him away for additional job training. I prefer to find out first if his work is okay with me surprising him at work. I would rather just plan to go visit in the town where is work has him staying. When he gets off work hmm

I hope my being there for a few days will help, and be an action that truly speaks love to him. Honestly, I had no clue this was going to happen the being LDR, it just sort of happened. When we first met it was in my work. Then I got to know him as a customer for two years. Then he asked for my number one day. Then after months of getting to know each other outside of my work he asked me to be his girlfriend. About a year later he started having to go Away for work, he lived, over here, and just traveled away somestimes for work. Then in December of 2023 I speculated he might have to move there for work, and did not know how to tell me. He kept coming back home, and going over there. Then all of a sudden in January he waited until after the fact to tell me he was over there. Then he did not come back until February. Then I thought he was back at home over here. Turns out he went back over there at some point. As in May when my mum got hurt, and he was truly there for me over texts, and calls. He said he was coming back home to see me. Then later on I texted i thought you came back home he said well I didn’t. All of sudden he texted I want you to live with me. Rather than speculating any further. I just said you want me to live in ___ (the town where he is for work). And he responded yes, then he did not talk for a while. Messaged a few days later, and I explained with mum being in the hospital, and having to help I am not able to live with him. He said it was selfish of him to want me over there eat with everything I was doing taking care of mum.
Now I want to love with him but it would mean giving up my job, and entire life to move over there. He already has an entire life over there with a job. All I would have over there is him, and nothing else. However, I have felt it on my heart to help care for my mom.

Thank you for your advice, I appreciate all of the things you had to say. Hmm keep some surprises for later is a great idea. I am glad to know that cooking is timeless. I love cooking for my family, and have often told my boyfriend of the weird meals I cook. He seemed to think they sounded delicious. Will definitely be cooking him a meal. Yes, I hope no bears in the park. I have already written him letters, and sent them via texts. That is since I do not where he is staying whilst away for work. I must ask him for an address, hmm. I will definitely be batting my eyelashes in the next video I send of a bug I find at work. Thank you again for all the insights truly appreciated.
