I recently have been going through a hard time with my wife I was a jerk and had many opportunities but I was stuck at a toxic place and couldn’t see I need help she said she loves me as a person I’m giving her space she said she enjoys the space but I’m afraid if I give space she won’t love me she said she put up her walls and is afraid to love we tried to kiss and she cried and said it feels forced we’ve been married for 7 years I’m not ready to give up and I know deep down she isn’t either I just need her to feel again any help would be appreciated I mentioned counseling but she doesn’t want to she said just give me time no timeline I need help

My wife’s excuse to separate from me was because I like to drink beer after a week of work , since she didn’t like beer , I was all of a sudden an asshole to her, so her excuse to be apart from me to me was a crock of shit , I would understand if I was getting drunk and abusive to her then that would be one thing , but I came home on a Friday and had some beers to relax and unwind not hurting anyone , and the thing is my wife always knew I liked beer the second she met me , so after 20 years she all of a sudden decides that she doesn’t want to be with me because I like to have some beers , so I found girls’ that enjoy having some drinks that enjoy letting loose after a week of work and realized my wife was just using that as her excuse to be apart from me , Now that my wife knows I am doing completely fine without her and knows that I been hooking up with girls’ now she wants me back and I just laugh and say no way in hell The tables have turned bitch and you are the reason for that to happen , I am not a sitting duck and I am not a fucking convenience to you , you use to be my priority but sadly not anymore. Do the same as me my man and if she comes back to you , that’s up to you on whether you want her back or not. That sounds like pure torturer, fear, regret. All you can really do is give her space, focus on being the best person you can be in the meantime, you suggested counseling and if she doesn't want to do then you should go just for you.
