Are jealousy and insecurity bad in a relationship? Why or why not?

I don’t like a man who is overly jealous and insecure. My husband is exactly what I don’t like. I think jealousy and insecurity are bad for a relationship. Relationship is built on trust.

Why it’s important to wear your partners’ shoes before making decisions, always think how would you feel if your partner was doing things to you , that make you feel jealous or insecure? If you love your partner and want your relationship to survive , you are best to do this for him , instead of just assuming you know the answer. If you don’t care about your partners’ feelings , unfortunately that makes you a selfish person , that only cares about yourself , and if that’s the case , be prepared for your marriage to more than likely come to an end , because it will be just a matter of time before he throws in the towel on you and walks the other way , if you don’t choose to have a sit down talk with him and try to resolve why he is feeling jealous and insecure of you. Are you excluding him from things? Do you go out with friends’ and come home odd hours in the night? Do you flirt with other men in front of him or behind his back? Don’t make plans without talking to him about it first? Whatever is happening, put yourself in his shoes and think how would you feel if he was doing those things to you? The truth is , most people aren’t jealous or insecure in relationships, it actually has nothing to do with that , it actually comes down to whether they are being respected in the relationship or not. If they aren’t being respected, then they are more than likely going to come off as being jealous or insecure when really they aren’t. They are just being disrespected in that relationship instead. So ask yourself would you stay in a relationship with someone that is being disrespectful not you? That only cares about themselves?

i mean these are normal feelings that everyone experiences sometimes. and generally they are negative feelings but in order to judge wether expressing (not having) these feelings is ok or not ok to have in a relionship, you gotta look at their function and their outcomes in that relationship. and if they have bad outcomes or functions, you gotta adress it. If you wanna avoid having these feelings, you gotta try analyze the involved basic emotions are the underlying cause and when you know you can adress them one by one.

Depends, if they're just jealous or insecure for no reason then it's bad. But there are some people who act mad shady then get upset or wonder why their partner feels some type of way.
