Do you feel that you've been lucky or unlucky in your romantic relationships?

I've been very lucky. I had 8 long-term relationships with beautiful girls who loved sex and were really good people, beginning when I was 16.

Okay, one of those girls was 31 when I was 34. We rented a house together and things were wonderful for about 8 months, but she turned out to be a psycho. She was drop dead gorgeous, though.

I met my next girlfriend when I was 36 and she was 30. She was hypersexual, orgasmic and gorgeous. We wound up living together for 2 years. She was the best girlfriend of all.

And then there is my wife who I met when I was 40 and married when I was 42. She's 2.5 years younger. We've been married now for 29 years, had a LOT of fun, and built a wonderful life together. I'm very happy.

I feel like one of my relationships was almost perfect, but didn't end up working out. I'm going to say I'm lucky in one way, because I've been able to experience relationships, whereas many guys have never been in one. But also unlucky in my pursuit of real lasting love.

Neither. I feel like everytime my ship came in I was at the airport (if ya get my drift). Any time a woman has taken interest in me was at a time when I had no interest dating anyone it seems like. And I'm the world's worst guy at guaging a woman's GENUINE interest. Because all other times I either misread her or (more often) she was just trying to game me.

I don't think I'm unlucky, just ill timed. I think God has put good women i my life. But he did it at a time when I was too young and stupid to see it.

I'm just horridly unlucky with romance in general =_= and my standards are not even very high. Everyone i have attraction to, is either 0 interest in me romantically, looks late 20s but is actually underaged (obviously absolutely not pursuing), can only see me as a friend or a brother-like acquaintance, they are already in a relationship, only has interest in me when drunk (obviously not pursuing), only want's a one-night-stand (I'm demi-sexual. I literally cannot do that), has kids (i don't hate kids, but there's a lot more to take into consideration when kids are involved. There's no avoiding the kid even if their mom thinks there is), online i mainly get solicitation messages, ghosted, false-positives, no genuine matches for months to even years, or they just want to use me for a free meal (looking online is not much luck either). No matter how much i clean myself up to look my best of even behave properly, i apparently give off an "not romance material" vibe.

My twenties definitely sucked, dated some of the worst women in my life, but after that I've pretty much been blessed. I think some of it was about being smarter and filtering out the girls that are just " hot" and looking for the overall picture.
