So many men don't open up to males , females on the other hand open up to their male and female friends, romantic partner, and family. Also males are known to suck at their friendships and that is why they are so desperate for a romantic relationship and NEED one. Many feel lost without one compared to way less females a needing a relationship. Males don't open up in Latin America, etc as well but at least there, they are good at socializing and hanging out with their friends. Here they make their relationship their all.

Females are lonely too here due to individualism but like I said at least many are good at socializing about things that are deep and other reasons.

Yes and no. Men can unintentionally contribute to the problem because of how they’re socialized and how they cope. Nobody (male or female) is to blame for their loneliness, but many were never given the tools to avoid it—and that leads to behaviours that unintentionally keep them isolated.

Self caused in the sense that there is no male loneliness problem. So if you are someone who thinks there is, you're perpetuating this nonsense. A man just IS. A man doesn't question it. A man doesn't worry about how many women like him. A man knows what he wants and goes after it. Now are women less than what they used to be? Yes. But that isn't the man's problem. No, and, for the record, male loneliness means male ROMANTIC loneliness. Nobody's saying men can't or don't have friends, they mean that men aren't getting their romantic and sexual needs met and NO, IT'S NOT MEN'S FAULT.

The loneliness epidemic is 100% self-inflicted. These are men raised to believe women don’t get choices, so they would have one. They were obviously wrong. It’s sad that they were taught this and built a lot of their expectations of their lives around it, but if they’re not willing to change then that’s their own fault

I didn’t notice so I went and read it, and while these are valid concerns you put forward, you still put some of the blame on women for their own loneliness by saying that their individualism is the problem and simultaneously site their community as stronger and more resilient than the male community because of their willingness to be vulnerable. This is not the core of the issue. Women are lonely because, in a time where marriage is now a choice they can make rather than an inevitable life event they HAVE to have to survive, men still default into treating women as their personal caregivers as if that hasn’t changed and that behavior is no longer accepted universally.

You’re half right. A lot of male loneliness is self-caused, but also heavily culture-caused. Guys are raised with “man up, don’t be weak,” so emotional intimacy feels dangerous. Then they pour everything into a girlfriend, get lovebombed by the honeymoon phase, and feel destroyed if it ends.

Many men never learn how to maintain deep male friendships, communicate feelings, or set boundaries, so their social circle shrinks and their romantic relationship becomes their entire identity. Huge red flag for emotional dependency.

That’s an interesting question. My friend group includes both males and females and none of the guys are particularly lonely, even the ones that don’t have girlfriends.

I don't have any personal experience of America but my impression of that country is a lot of single men living in little boxes watching Fox News and only going out when they commute to work. No wonder they're lonely.

Many men here suck at deep friendships. They just talk about sports, etc and don't open up to people. They keep their depression bottled up. In other countries many men don't open up to people and don't tell people about their depression as well but the thing is in many other countries, the men are at least good at socializing and hang out with their friends a lot more. The culture is less individualistic. Women here suck at socializing too compared to other places but at least they open up to people and also many don't feel the need to have to have a relationship to be happy because of it. Well that is one reason. I am American by the way.
