Tell him to screw off, try buying some pepper spray. I used to be a prison guard and they had to tear gas us and pepper spray us. Pepper spray hurts like hell for hours, find the one with the highest scoffield heat units (shu) for short the higher the number the hotter the burn. It never hurts just to have some back up just in case, just tell him politely to leave you alone. If he doesn't get ugly with him, if he follows you, just spray his dumb ass he will learn.
