The difference between a teacher and a sage - my own personal view

In the bible Jesus judges the sadducees and pharisees because they know how to interpret the sign in the sky but cannot interpret the sign of the times

So what is the sign of the sky? If it is cloudy, it will rain. If it is sunny the plants don't need to be watered. If it is windy - it is time to go inside because it will be cold.

In the same way - if the stock is low - its a good time to buy - if it is high it is a good time to sell - if the computer is new - there is no need to buy a new comp - if it is getting old and has issues you should consider buying a new one.

those are all signs of the sky or signs of the world or signs of measurement and algorithm and informational data processing.

The sign of the times on the other hand - can be explained by a plant. When the weeds are around you know its time to remove weeds. When the weather is dry you know its time to add water. When the branches are about to fall you know its time to prune. When there are predators you know to build an imitation owl to scar them away from your plant. etc...

In the same way you care for a plant - you know - there is a time to rejoice over somebody's happiness - a time to mourn over somebody's misfortune - a time to reject a friendship - a time to pursue a friendship - and a time to listen and a time to speak.

Even more than that - a teacher tells you what happens from the perspective of human beings.

A sage tells you WHY things happen from the perspective of the Gods.

A teacher tells you people believe in God because it makes them feel good.

A sage tells you people believe in God because human beings are at their most fundamental level - creatures of meaning and pursuit and triumph.

A teacher tells you people yell because they are angry

A sage tells you people yell because they don't know how to overcome their ego.

A teacher tells you people are bad because they had bad parents.

A sage tells you people are bad because they never found the good.

This is what I've been working on for the last 22 years - I've been trying to become a sage and not just a teacher of course God and the apostles are wiser and smarter than me.
