This is sadness removes the worship of vanity in things like tv or celebrities or hair or make up
It makes you less superficial and raises your tolerance level
And gives you a deeper acceptance of things like monotony or routine
This is why a sad face is good for the heart
It makes you a much better and more spiritual person
Reality check, that's why; people don't learn until the pain starts.

I very highly suggest you quote the text that you are referring to. Read Eclesasties 3:9-15 and your statement is already falling apart. There's also 1 Corinthians 13:13 where it says to abide in faith, hope and love, but most of all love.
The sad times help you to appreciate the happy times with more enthusiasm and reverence.
I would agree that a LACK of pride and boastfulness is good for the heart.
I don't want to hurt your sentiments but such things cause depression.

Discipline is the act of suffering for one's own betterment. Its the same principle, when times are tough you grow. When your saddend your humbled and brought back down to Earth. I've allways grown the most in times of strife.
