What we can learn from Song of Songs 1:6

Songs 1:6 says,

Do not stare at me because I am dark, because I am darkened by the sun. My mother’s sons were angry with me and made me take care of the vineyards; my own vineyard I had to neglect.

I want you to focus on the last line:

”My own vineyards I had to neglect.” Because the vineyard is a symbol for your attractiveness and personal connections, what this verse means is that the bride is so busy serving her family and God that she does not focus on lotions and cremes or make up or fashionable clothes.

It goes back to Matthew 6:33 that says, do not worry about your own interests, serve God and let God worry about your personal self interest.
