In scripture, the God of the Hebrews stated that He cannot get humanity to look to Him for our direction and definition, and because we have abandoned relationship with Him, He leaves us to our devices. He says He would save us from our enemies, but because we do not want Him, He just leaves us to our devices.
In essence, it is like humanity as a whole is His child, and we are so rebellious and disrespectfully aloof to our parent that we are just being left to mess ourselves up with our obsessions. Freidrich Nietzsche is quoted as saying, "When you look into an abyss, the abyss looks back." Now, if men like Elon Musk have their way, our devices are becoming an abyss which actually looks back, made with the spirit we have, of a rebellious child, disregarding our parent. Musk even wants to bring our devices into our bodies, with our last refuge of privacy, in time, to be eroded away entirely.
There is a way out. Abandon even our own thoughts, turn from our twisted ways, and return to the God of the Bible: Live according to [ Acts 4:32 ], therein; and find refuge where such a Spirit as brings that scenario about, will give us. [ While there is still time. ]
