Blessed Marco d'aviano was beatified in 2003. He was a catholic monk in Vienna who preached to Christians to encourage them to defend Vienna from the Muslim ottoman seige. He told them this:"pray to God, I am just a poor monk whom god have chosen to prove his existence, pray to God that he might give you the strength to be soldiers of christ, because if Vienna falls to the muslims Rome will fall and if Rome falls, holy mother church will fall" he was no Pope, he had no authority or property or any profit of this. "Becasue if you win today your children will be free to worship God, to love christ" "defend your faith and traditions!"
He also was said to heal the sick and do miracles. Ottoman muslims were defeated miraculously since they outnumbered the winged hussars. He was a true faithful monk, had no desire in money like some other popes or priests and preached the truth, that Christian faith must be protected in any way possible" Pray for us.
