Do you think GOD/Devil Exist?

I heard an interesting quote from a movie trailer. The quote was "The court accepts the existence of of god everytime a witness swears to tell the truth, It's time we accept the existence of the devil." Now if your not very religious then you probably don't care much for this topic. And even if you are I feel like mostly in media and places such as a court room. The existence of the devil is often under played or taken less seriously compared to God. And I thought it was an interesting topic especially within the context of the movie and the crime that the movie is based on. What are your thoughts?

Do God and the devil exist? I believe yes but I also believe that whatever they are. We aren’t able to understand or even comprehend what they truly are. It would be like explaining astrophysics to a cockroach it just wouldn’t be able to understand. I think it’s something beyond our understanding. Maybe someday will evolve to the point when we can?

Those are just metaphors for acting out of love vs acting out of selfishness. Satanism means only caring about yourself and doing whatever you want to fulfill your egoic desires without caring about other people or the environment. And if someone claims to worship god they should treat everyone and everything like themselves (assuming they don't hate themselves). Has nothing to do with going to the church or belonging to a religious organization.

Courts are not accepting the existence of God, they are accepting that the witnesses belief in god is enough to keep him honest. In the uk you can take a non religious oath to tell the truth but it's not advised as jurors tend to favour people who take the traditional religious one.

Well thats the UK I'm in the United States. And taking an oath to God to tell the truth in the court room to me is a pretty good show of the court room to accepting the existence of god otherwise there would be no need for it

It’s interesting as to how people are willing to accept the devil quicker than god. Not in a sense of being satanic, but rather accepting it in a sense of realism. They watch scary movies and perceive these stories as real. If you mention god, there’s a big rejection.

It’s very interesting especially as that’s exactly what the Devil would want. It only that but he’s the greatest deceiver and the greatest deceit of all would be to fool people into believing a false God and have them convinced it couldn’t be any other way. Therefore Christianity itself may be the Devils work, Jesus The Father and all.

I once read a holocaust survivor saying: I don't know if there is a God, but I know there is a devil. For me, I know that both exist.
