Are you okay with bad people suffering and going to hell?

I know a few bad people that have stumbled on health problems recently. I think it's inevitable, that either they are victimized or their victims suffer. One or the other has to disappear.

I don't worry about it. Because I have faith God is a loving God. And that he will not punish anyone who has not earned punishment.

I've read the Bible cover to cover 6 times and instead of bringing me closer it only led me to believe that if there is a God, we don't know him. A lot of the things that warrant going to hell are petty and not the kind of thing that an all knowing creator would judge a person on, not to mention the total number of people that the Bible claims will make it into heaven is about 144,000. At this point you have more of a chance winning the lottery 3 times than anyone would make it into heaven. I can't accept that a just God would continue to let the population get to almost 8 billion people knowing that only 144,000 people will get in, leaving every other person that's ever lived to live doomed lives.

I believe the bible is allegorical and doesn’t pertain directly to what it appears to signify. Like the 144,000 might represent 5 covenants of 12 + 12 + 10 + 10 + 10. I figured it out and I am hiding it until my book is published.

Well either you believe in God and the Bible to be the word of God or you don't. That's also made pretty clear, you can't pick and choose. Also, the Bible wasn't written until about 500 years after Jesus was supposed to have lived. For as hard as it is for us to keep accurate records these days, I seriously doubt they had a better system for it back then. Oh and don't get me started on all the books that have been removed from the Bible and the numerous times it has been "retranslated" and "revised" throughout history. That's why I said if there is a God we don't know him.

I don’t take the bible literally, I view it as a literal system built on literary devices

But I do agree with you in that it is allegorical. There are also a lot of life lessons to be learned from the Bible.

I think it would be better to say that I'm at peace with it. I don't want anyone to, but the fact remains that many will. All I can do is pray for those in need of God's Mercy and that they will respond to and cooperate with it. God is the ultimate Judge though.

Countless good people suffer from illness, what of babies born with horrific painful ailments? What sin did they commit? Try googling photos of Gastroschisis and asking what great sin did they commit in the womb. As for adults, nobody gets through life without doing something bad. So where do you set the bar? Murder? theft? Gluttony? Taking joy in seeing sick people? Gloating? It's funny how people point to others as hell bound without looking at their own evil deeds.

There is no hell. The Bible was mistranslated. Look it up yourselves.

You know what is screwed up? People find out there is no hell and they can't accept it.

If you study the history of the Bible, hell is a new creation. I'm not going to do the research for y'all. To know that what I said is true you'll have to find out on your own. No debates here.

This idea is tempting, in other hand it can be exploited to control sheep who are willing to believe in fairy tales.
There is no fairness in this world, why should fairness and justice exist in afterlife? Just because the grass is always greener on other side of the fence?

Christ taught its not our place to judge. He who is without reproach cast the first stone. For people to believe that other peoples misfortune is proportional to their behaviors goes against all Jesus spent His ministry teaching.

If someone is hurting or struggling, its not my place to judge whether theyre good or bad; rather its my civic responsibility to help.

Why would bad people need to go to Hell when we, whether religious or not, have brought Hell unto this world? Bad people, those beyond reform, should simply die, quickly and humanely, as their continued presence among everyone only serves to produce more bad people pushed beyond hurt and suffering. Not only bad people suffer.

I don't believe anyone is going to hell. I believe our animalistic nature is in constant battle with our soul, and our soul goes to heaven regardless of what happens here. But I also believe there are people who have no soul and are basically just animals, so in that case nothing remains after they die.
