God is often spoken of in male terms and is revealed so in the Bible. Jesus is a man, often referred to God as "Father", and also said "the Father and I are one".
As for your idea of a "divine couple"? It might sound nice and romantic, but to say that "no one can live alone" contradicts the very idea of God. It implies that God is dependent on or subservient to something or someone outside of Himself. If God "needs" someone or something else to be God, then He would not be God. It would imply that God would require some kind of initiative or example to be the supreme example and essence of love, which is quite obviously and frankly a contradiction.

I'm agnostic. But I love your idea of the couple-god. I really do. Why has nobody thought of this before. You're literally the first person I've heard propose the notion of a couple as god. I feel like that... should have... been thought of somewhere before you? It seems so obvious. How are you the first person to figure this out. Maybe you're a prophet of some kind?
Relatedly. Have you ever given any thought to what it might be like to found a cult. Have you got any strong feelings about staring a cult? Because I think you've got a good idea. A very good idea. Also, an excellent opportunity to be a god for a time (I'd expect to be the other God. Nothing sexual. This is a practical power arrangement I'm proposing here). Anyway, think about it. 🙂
Depends on which god you mean. Almost all are male, whilst some take concept like Adam Kadmon, and are androgynous. If you meant the abrahamic god, he falls under the latter of genderless, but using male pronouns, or is claimed to by his supporters.
Well, my faith is polytheism - so there are both.
Though, I do not view the gods that literally, they're energy - balance, they represent different things in this world.

That is a pantheon thesis i. e. multiple gods with different duties and reflects our human experience. It also reflects Hollywood stardom of sexy men and sexy women which is never going away. Nature worship isn't going away either; green politics (i. e worship) is pretty strong.
So despite 2000 years of christian religion it doesn't seem to me we have moved that far from polytheism. It is the creation versus the creator. I am more inclined to celebrate the creation rather than the creator.
Accepting there is a creator God then I don't see that it follows that God has a male or female nature so neuter pronouns are more appropriate in my view.
I wouldn't really say I'm a follower of any religion, but I was brought up in a country where the majority is Christian. The general consensus is that it is a he, but in my mind he or they are both.
Never really read the bible but apparently the verse is Genesis 1:27. I don't know how an all knowing, all powerful and ever present being would take an imperfect copy of itself and chop it in half.
It is in a sense beautiful to think that only when a man and a woman are connected they resemble more like what God is and, in a sense, borrow their power of creation and birth new life. I know the science behind pregnancy, but let me dream ok?Neither- "male" and "female" are just products of how sexual reproduction evolved; that doesn't apply to God. He's referred to as "He" in English because that's the pronoun used when dealing with someone of uncertain gender; some people object, but that's the standing rule.
I believe in Mother Earth. Indigenous peoples are caretakers of Mother Earth and realize and respect her gifts of water, air and fire. I have a special spiritual relationship with the earth and all living things in it. My relationship is based on a profound spiritual connection and respect for Mother Earth, and inherently women in general. She teaches/guides me to practice reverence, humility and reciprocity.
Man/woman sure sounds like a mortal thing. ‘He, G-d, is One, the Ever-Lasting Refuge. He never bore or was born and no-one is like Him.’ — Sūratul Ahad, chapter the Unity/the One of the Qur’ān. Many mortals can’t live alone, and G-d is no mortal. He created the sexes.
can god be a shapeshifter. maybe he all thing and nothing. maybe he a bar stool or a man or a women. maybe he is just light. maybe he is genderless. maybe he is all gender.
God sent HIS Son to be our SAVIOR. “HIS SON” implies He is a MAN
probably neither as we are built to his image so both
God doesn't have a gender. God is a spirit according to the lord Jesus Christ.
John 4:24:
God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.
God of abraham moses jacob is not a man nor a woman.
Neither. What use would a purely spiritual being have for sexual traits?
I believe in the same as you babygirl_S. There is an entity of masculinity and an entity of femininity.
I don't know. But all i know my father & my mother are true god, because without them i wouldn't be here.
While referred to as "Father" I view God as infinite and thus not really either.
Christian God is male. Jesus was a male.
Female, because they can be the most vindictive.
G0d has no sex-gender.
