Can anyone help interpret my dream?

For context, the guy I'm about to mention in this dream is a crush I have where we recently started hanging out together. He very quickly became my crush and I'm not too sure if he feels the same (but signs point to that he does... maybe... That's a question for another time).

It starts with me walking into a burger joint as a customer, he's working behind the counter (not where we work irl). He seems happy to see me and asks what I want and we banter a bit, but I sit down after my order. But, I come back after a bit and he seems really solemn and quiet. I try making a joke but he doesn't respond with anything. So, I hold his hand and bring it up to kiss it- and he pulls away at first, but for some reason I keep it there. And after a few seconds, he leans onto me for comfort.

This is a mundane dream to have, but it's one I got right after praying to God for any answers. About how to feel about him and if he could actually find me a good friend or something more. If you're into dream interpretation, what could this mean for me and him? Am I looking to far into this?

Plus you have a pretty rad vocabulary/writing style.

But for practical advice, I don't think the dream means anything (other than an extension of your brain's thoughts/interests in this guy) so just keep hanging out with him, show interest however you're comfortable with (more on that later) and let things naturally play out.

(ok so if he's more outgoing, you don't have to put a LOT of effort in... just show some interest in how you talk with him, smile, laugh at his jokes, stuff like that... but if he's more naturally shy then you gotta adjust to his style and put yourself out there a bit mroe)

It's most likely my brain just wanting to be close to him. I think he's more shy, but he seems to socialize fine with everyone else... He's kinda confusing but I think there's a reason I keep getting invited to his place

Well, at first he was a coworker that complimented my floral patterened boots and started talking to me about fashion. At first I straight up assumed he was gay, but as I get to know him I don't think he is? But after a second conversation, he showed me his cooking on his phone. I said I wanted to try some and he asked if I was serious. When I said I was, he invited me to his apartment to try some. I went over at 9:30pm after work and it took 4 hours just to cook! Well... Mostly me watching and us waiting for the pressure cooker while watching tv. And the second time we had leftovers and watched tv again, but we kinda cuddled? He has this big bear plushie and it was between both of us and he laid on it in a way where it was on my lap (with the bear-ier). I feel bad because most of it is me watching him cook with both of us silent but he seems to want me watching? He's just kinda quiet around me is all, but has mentioned that he wants me over more later.

So that's interesting y'all are comfortable enough with each other to spend time at his place together, and yet nothing has happened (yet) as far as either one of you making a real *move*.

Laying on your lap seems like more than a friendly gesture, even with bear-bear involved. Does he initiate any other type of physical contact with you, even casual/subtle type stuff?

Not really no, we mostly keep our hands to ourselves. He does like to have me close to him but not really outright touching- unless we're at work, he tends to keep to his own department but still finds the chance to text me.

No shade here at all... but my best guess is he's trying to figure out how to initiate some type of *physical* connection, and feeling completely shut down no matter what he tries.

I do. I'm Christian! And, your guess might just be on the money- He was talking about cuddling earlier, about how he's open to it.

It sounds pretty simple to me.

You want a relationship with him where the two of you are happy together, but you're worried that no matter how hard you hold onto him, he'll lose interest and pull away.

But deep down you know that's probably not the case and you have a feeling you both want the same thing

Well it sounds like you want him to ask you out and be your everything. Lol. Os theirs Nmnothing wrong with praying to God but you know I don't think he can force attraction of another human due to free will but ofc if you're constantly thinking about him you will have these dreams, if anything you should ask him out.
