Since god is pretend, who do we blame when people kill in his name?

This weekend we saw evil Muslims kill innocent people in the name of their pretend god. Who is ultimately to blame?

We blame current humans who are dumb enough to kill over obvious lies.

We blame the ancient humans who invented religion to divide stupid people.

God exists. We need to blame God for creating an evil world.

If I disapprove of somebody's actions, yet they still used my name to kill as an excuse, am I to blame? Don't think so.. We blame the people who wanted to kill and used God's name as an excuse or maybe just happened to vaguely mention God and killed not even in his name.

it is people to be blamed regardless which ever religion they are from... because they portray and promote religion and rules of religion in wrong way or completely out of context... not that the religion itself says to do so... they practice against their religion and think/say that this is for our religion n faith

The existence of God is inferred. Everything we see is dependent on something. You are dependent, you were caused to exist through your parents, and then through their parents... Going further back, the earth was part of the sun, which was all from the singularity, which was caused by what?

At the beginning of the chain, there should be something the existence of which was independent. It can't go on and on back into the past infinitely. That's logically impossible, whereas accepting the existence of something independent at first is more acceptable of the two.
