Alright, I have a question, everyone. Why is Halloween celebrated when it has pagan origins? I came across quotes from certain Christian scholars, such as Philip H. [Pfatticher], and also Jerry Falwell. These scholars argue that Halloween is rooted in pagan traditions and suggest that Christians should prioritize celebrations with a clear theological foundation, focusing on Christian holidays, and so on. My question is, why do you celebrate Halloween?
If you don't view Halloween as a pagan festival, that's a different matter. I'm not trying to attack or insult anyone but rather seeking to understand the reasons behind celebrating Halloween. If possible, please share references from Christian scriptures where it mentions the celebration of Halloween, or if there's evidence that Jesus, peace be upon him, celebrated or approved of it. I'm looking for some sort of evidence. Thank you.
because it is FUN to choose and wear costumes even ghosts and demons.
some hard core christians won't allow demon costumes so they dress like batman and hulk and mickey mouse etc.
A spirituality that honors the Earth and nature, air/wind, water, earth and fire. They believe in the magic of certain symbols and things like stones and plants. They have benign ceremonies, especially on solstices and equinoxes. They don't do black magic or cast curses.
They try to recreate what little is known about ancient, pre-Christian ceremonies, sans sacrifices. Christians condemn them as Satanic because they aren't Christian.
Satanists are something completely different.
I got to do a report on Wicca as part of a religion study in college. It’s not witchcraft as much as people think, it’s really just about connecting with nature, working with the cycles of nature and worshipping gods like the triple goddess who is The Maiden, The Mother, and The Crone, who enters these phases of life as the year goes on. She changes with the cycles of the seasons and so different ways of worship change with those seasons. It’s really quite nice.
A fade in many young girls life when they seek to rebel against their parents, society and Christian morality by attaching themselves to an alternative that seems mystical because it harks back to pre Christian pagan times but very little is actually known about the pagan religions of Europe and they varied from region to region.

Silly things. Magic (or magick) isn't real. If magical practices worked, there wouldn't be any mystery. We would know it.
first i associated with the film wicker man. but when i analyze the word it seems like a nonsense word like "twas brillig and the slithy tothes".
delusional people is the first thing that comes to mind. I don't know if that's inherently "bad" tho.
Seriously when I hear wikka - I think of Wikipedia. No joke
Stupid people who can't just say they are atheist or took Dungeons and Dragons too seriously.
