When I was younger, I was raised to worship my own pride and ego, my reputation, my beauty, my images and my money and indulgences such as vacations or clothes or food. So when I became a Christian and my old values were erased, I went through a transition phase for years where I felt empty inside and did know how to reverse it cause nobody taught me the religious way to live. I had to teach myself due to Christian’s not socializing with me outside school or church.
I was raised Christian as far back as I can remember. My Dad had me baptized when I was around 4 probably to young to know why. I do remember being in front of the church with my brother and father getting sprinkled with water. Not knowing how other kids we're being raised, I'm feeling blessed.

Sometimes I feel empty
Well... I have, and I have yet to fully recover from it. My experience was kind of contrary to Yours, as it was the revelation that this world is actually a hostile place. However, with God Almighty's help, I'm slowly carving out my own path.
As taught in rehab centers, to bring meaningful change in your life you need to attend a new playground with new friends. The same is true with Christianity. I know as I also experienced what you are going through.
