this may sound like heresy but we can contrast the place where moses claimed god spoke to him, leviticus 23 has a bunch, to places without claim, here.
this was just included as a new version of local contemporary myths not a prophecy. so it can be wrong or a fable to say god created all the details and to teach us to work six days and rest on the seventh day.
my personal faith is to be skeptical of both science and genesis versions and blend parts of them.
geology invented billions of years due to a preconceived notion need time for random. so they used bias to guide them as needed each layer is billion years. that is not real science anyway.
one day science will throw out its assumptions and discover the bible was right.
also recently flooding was observed making instant fossils.
the pathetic geologists were forced to admit "sometimes fossils are fast n sometimes millions of years" to preserve the geolgy bs.
if fossil can be observed as fast then that is the only real science.
If there is a real Creation story... I don't disbelieve but I'm not sure what it really is..
If God rested on the last day, the Sabbath, why is that the day that every religion has a special event at, praying to God. Shouldn't we let Him rest on his day off?
correct, we go to church instead of job for resting
It begins when a woman made of sea foam eats some white berries and they make her pregnant. During the pains of birth she chucks a chuck of bark into the sea and creates giants who... sod it just watch the 5 min video

Not sure if it's true but sounds plausible.
how plausible how sea foam exists?
Sea foam exists as a byproduct of may weed hence the story must be true
may weed, a plant, if so not "begin" as you wrote.
had plant n sea n sea foam before.
who created plant n sea? logic must be a spirit god.
the onky logical option.
All creation stories have some previous and follow the same pattern. God himself must have a creation story
I used to believe on a creator.
Then I became sane.
not mutually exclusive.

As the bible says , God created the heavens and the earth in 6 DAYS, not 7! The 7th day is the Sabbath day of rest.
Depends which bible, as there are many different bibles and gospels.
yes, but how many different creation stories?
Neither. It's a product of right place, right time, right ingredients A statistical fluke that put evolution in the driver's seat
so you believe in a creator, but you don't believe a creator created life?
No I'm militant atheist. Humans greatest error was the invention of religion. It's social control, that's all it has ever been
Philosophy is the antidote. Stoicism, OG Buddhism, Shintoism, Taoism, etc).
did you not read the question: "If you believe in a Creator..."
Yes I did. I will grant you however that the flood story has been verified by archaeological evidence. An earthquake around 1100 BC breached the Black Sea and the Mediterranean came pouring in. Divers have found human structures and settlements at the bottom of the Black Sea and it also accounts for a flood story being so widespread in Eurasia because the endo-Europeans who fled that area took their language and story with them
11,000 bc
@Siri137 Buddhism as intended by Siddhartha is not a religion it became one later. Daoism has elements of the occult and prophecy which I don't subscribe to. Shintoism recognizes nature as supreme but not a diety. You're right about exasperating. Some people ⬆️ are just plain ignorant. Educate yourself before you spout off nonsense.
@Siri137 mahana and theraveda are religions. I practice it unadulterated as Siddhartha intended. shintoism, as I practice disregards the modern version in favor of nature worship without ancestors. Taoism the key word is evolved. God's still don't exist.
It's far beyond human comprehension, I'm afraid
