This is why, when you visit nations that are predominately Christian you have laws like murder is illegal, because it reflects their personal belief in Exodus 20:13 "thou shalt not kill". Christians believe people have personal property and that you should not steal from one another because of Exodus 20:15 "Thou shalt not steal". Thus Christians consistently oppose socialism which doesn't believe in personal property or a persons right to keep what they work for. Christian believe you should tell the truth under oath, thus there are perjury laws to make it a crime to lie in court, because of Exodus 20:16 "thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor". While every law that is passed into law may not be a religious law, laws are influenced by religion.
