Many Christians are under the misconception that they are winning their salvation through their holiness. None of us are clean in the Lords eyes. I explain this with a story of a Farmer who owns a huge number of hunting dogs. He would do anything for them. He spends time grooming them and caring for them. He loves to hear them howl and sound off when they hunt. But, they are dogs, they lick their butts and each other's butts and poop in the yard. He does not let them in the house. He does not hold their dog nature against them because they are dogs. God love us in spite of ourselves. We have earned nothing to gain His favor. Nice analogy. except for one thing. When we died we will no longer be stinky dogs and will get to come in the house.
@sean1234 No, He does Not. He celebrates our victories but does not hold our failures against us. At this point I accept the watchmakers theory. He knows what he made. He did not create Holy spiritual creatures. Some religions say that He knew we were going to fail in the Garden of Eden before He created the, Universe. But nobody can prove a thing. It is quite a matter of faith.
Jesus has his laws we must follow, the bible says those who dont follow the laws won't make it to Heaven.
Revelation 20:4-6, 12-15 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
This here is after the 1000 years have ended.
Revelation 20:12-15 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

The problem with many today is they are taking the literal parts symbolically and the symbolic parts literally.
It's not difficult to understand the bible, you must 1st put traditional beliefs aside and read the Bible as it says. The Bible never contradicts itself which is a sign something is symbolic.
This is the HOLY Bible. It's true except for the parables which is to teach, to convey a message. Revelation is obviously not. It's a WARNING⚠️ of things to come. Many prophecies have come true, almost to the point that WE are living at the end and Jesus will probably come in our lifetime.
@sean1234 Sean don't get lost in the imagery of the Book of Revelations. It was written that way so that the Romans would not figure it out. Nero had proclaimed that He was God and the four stories created wild illusions that only people with a strong Hebrew background would understand. Remember Armageddon never happens. The forces gather for the conflict but God does not allow it to happen. It is a timeless book which has meaning even today. Stay true to your God and don;'t buy into the society based on Nero's wealth ( mark of the beast). Hold tight brother.
Theists are inherently deluded & sadists so it tracks.
Because queerness doesn’t effect spirituality and honestly, when you put the bible in a historical context, Jesus was fully supportive of gay couples living peacefully.
That's how they're raised, and they feel deviating from it would be bad spiritually and socially.

Why would someone who identifies as LGBTQ+ claim to follow Christ if they reject what he and his Father clearly teach about morality?
The Bible does not support a lifestyle that goes against God's standards. Jesus said in John 14:23, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.” A person cannot both claim to love Christ and at the same time reject his teachings.
The Scriptures consistently show that God created marriage and sexual relations to be only between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). Paul wrote that those who ignore God’s moral laws “will not inherit God’s Kingdom” (1 Corinthians 6:9-10).
If a person insists on living in a way that the Bible calls sin and yet still claims to be a Christian, it raises the question: are they following Christ’s teachings or their own desires?
True followers of Christ adjust their lives to match what he taught, not the other way around.
Out of 8 billion people on this earth, how many of them can go somewhere where everything about them will be accepted with open arms?
Many churches acknowledge that the Bible doesn't really say anything about a gay orientation being a sin. Maybe that person not having kids is part of God's plan.
@sean1234 So to fully understand the word abomination, one needs tom read them seventy seven other things that are abominations in his eyes. We think of a business deal that profits us more than 10% is a good business deal. God says it is an abomination and that if you donate those proceeds of such a deal to the church it will not be acceptable in His eyes. Old Testament is tough .
I have a few Catholic friends, They very nice people. Considering I am not a fan of big huge Church like Mega church . I had an interesting conversation with a pastor who preaches at this huge well know Mega church told me that if Hulk Hogan was a true Christian he would donated all his wealth and mansion to the church. That statement got in my mind the whole entire day. I was surprised about that answer.
An LGBTQNKVD+ person would not be a Catholic, because one of the purposes of this movement is to root out Catholicism (and Christianity in general).
However, a lesbian, gay, bi and maybe even a trans person could be a Catholic if he/she realizes being lesbian/gay/bi/trans is not his/her lifestyle, it's self-destructive urges that need to be kept under control - the Christian community in general and the Catholic community in particular can really help with weeding out these urges.
Personally I would rather they not get involved with the churches. God is pretty clear on his view on that sort of stuff. And to tell them that they can go to heaven while still practicing what they do that'd be telling them a lie a lie that would condemn their souls.
And to me that's not right and I want no part in that.
Because those who want to be truly faithful to the Church know that the mission of the Church is to convert them and their hearts, and not the other way around. It's the same for everyone else.
No idea, but then again, I have no idea why ANYBODY would be any kind of Christian.
The modern church does accept it. The bible and related scriptures have no issues with it.
The core historical issue is church's stance. The church stance today is that everyone is god's kiddo.
A person's belief is their own business. Didn't someone say "Do not judge, lest ye be judged."?
Because they think just because they believe its ok, that means it must be and must be allowed in the bible.
They aren't. They just pretend to be "Christian". Sort of like how white's in the USA pretend to be "native Americans".
Hedging on their bets I'd say.
Religious brainwashing. Simples.
Cuz they Catholics are liberal
Pragmatism
