The bible says the daughters of the church should not chase love, but love falls when it is ready, what are your thoughts about this?

I believe it means, when you have fully given yourself to the kingdom of God, God will align you in the spotlight for suitable companions you can marry and have children with and you will not have to push or prod to make it happen. I believe I am unmarried because there might be 20% of my life I have not given fully to God yet, but that might resolve within half a year.

The way you put it makes it sound like love is something women aren’t allowed to touch unless it “falls from the sky” That’s not true. The Bible doesn’t say women should never seek love it teaches modesty and patience, not passivity.

If a woman sees someone she truly values, why should she sit back forever just because you think chasing is wrong? Love is about two people meeting halfway, not one waiting endlessly while the other holds all the power.

Saying “love falls when it is ready” is too simplistic. Yes, timing matters, but so do choices. A lot of people miss their chance at happiness because they were told to just sit quietly. That isn’t faith that’s fear.

So no, the idea that daughters of the church should never move toward love isn’t right. Love is about action, courage, and honesty not just waiting.
