1 moIt's only one god for all abrahamic religions but we see him in different ways, for example i'm happy to be a christian and would never change it because i see it as the only real religion where i find happiness and comfort and because to me, Jesus means everything!

1 moNo and Yes at the same time.
This is hard to explain, but the real God gave everyone a grain of Truth, but somehow people corrupt the truth to some extent or another.
Catholics and Christians worship a CULT which Jeremiah and Ezekiel rebuked several dozen times ahead of time in their books, namely "The Queen of Heaven (Mary) and Tamuz (Jesus)." Catholics still call Mary "The Queen of Heaven" to this day. This has nothing to do with the Jewish Yahweh, who is specifically stated to NOT be a man at all in the Torah.
Muslims worship Allah, which was originally a polytheistic tribal deity which has nothing to do with Yahweh either.
Polytheistic religions such as Hinduism's many gods, violate both the First and Second Commandments of the Hebrew Bible, making them impossible to Reconcile.
Since all ten of the Ten Commandments are derivable from fundamental logic, it ought to be obvious that Polytheism is dead wrong.

1 moCatholics are Christians. Jews and Christians have the same God Yahweh but have disagreements on Messiah. Muslims worship Allah (Sin) and his false prophet anti-Christ Muhammad (Baphomet) along with a slew of other false gods that get chapters written about them like Dhu'l-Qarnayn (Alexander the Great), Idris (Hermes Trismegistus), and many more. In Muslim end times all the chapters of the Quran come alive as does the Black stone of the Kaaba. It's basically just a bunch of demons, which isn't all that surprising considering the Quran had Satanic verses. It's basically the book of the damned.

Catholics are Catholics and Christians are Christians. Period.
They are different from each other. They each have different beliefs, different types of churches and rituals that the Christians don't have, like making your First Holy Communion and confess your sins to a priest who sits in a dark space and listens to your confessions and then punishes you with repetitive prayers. Christians don't do any of that.
Christians follow what the Bible says in order for you to go straight to heaven when you die. Catholics believe that you go to Purgatory first until it's time for you to go to heaven.
I don't know why you insist that Catholics are Christians but you never hear a Christian say that they are Catholic!! - 1 mo

The word Catholic mean universal. It comes from the Greek adjective ฮบฮฑฮธฮฟฮปฮนฮบฯฯ (katholikos) and was used by church fathers like Ignatius of Antioch in 110 AD in some of the earliest Christian writings. Go read the Letter to the Smyrnaeans... Ignatius of Antioch was a first century bishop in Antioch.
"Chapter 8. Let nothing be done without the bishop
See that you all follow the bishop, even as Jesus Christ does the Father, and the presbytery as you would the apostles; and reverence the deacons, as being the institution of God. Let no man do anything connected with the Church without the bishop. Let that be deemed a proper Eucharist, which is [administered] either by the bishop, or by one to whom he has entrusted it. Wherever the bishop shall appear, there let the multitude [of the people] also be; even as, wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church. It is not lawful without the bishop either to baptize or to celebrate a love-feast; but whatsoever he shall approve of, that is also pleasing to God, so that everything that is done may be secure and valid."

You do believe in the Church in Antioch right? Because you read the Bible right? Or at least that is what you claim...
Acts 11:19-30
"The Church in Antioch
19 Now those who were scattered because of the persecution that arose over Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia and Cyprus and Antioch, speaking the word to no one except Jews. 20 But there were some of them, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who on coming to Antioch spoke to the Hellenists also, preaching the Lord Jesus. 21 And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number who believed turned to the Lord. 22 The report of this came to the ears of the church in Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas to Antioch. 23 When he came and saw the grace of God, he was glad, and he exhorted them all to remain faithful to the Lord with steadfast purpose, 24 for he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And a great many people were added to the Lord. 25 So Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul, 26 and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. For a whole year they met with the church and taught a great many people. And in Antioch the disciples were first called Christians.
27 Now in these days prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch. 28 And one of them named Agabus stood up and foretold by the Spirit that there would be a great famine over all the world (this took place in the days of Claudius). 29 So the disciples determined, every one according to his ability, to send relief to the brothers living in Judea. 30 And they did so, sending it to the elders by the hand of Barnabas and Saul."

Clearly you are a Calvinist and don't know much about church history. There are multiple Christian churches that all believe in the trinity. The Christian Church is governed by the heads of the of the major episcopal sees. So for example in the 500s AD there was the Pentarchy which was the Roman Empire: Rome, Constantinople, Alexandria, Antioch, and Jerusalem. The East-West Schism between the Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox church occurred in 1054 because Rome started acting as the supreme church in the 800s or so. Prior to that all churches were considered equal in governance. Even today the Eastern Christian churches considered Roman Catholics to be a highly righteous church and they will turn to the Pope to settle scriptural disputes, but they do not recognize the Catholic church as superior in hierarchy. The Protestant Reformation in the 16th century did much the same, refusing the government authority of the Roman Catholic church. None the less they all remain Christians, except heretical groups that part from the trinity like Unitarians, Modalists, Partialists, etc (e. g. Jehovahโs Witnesses, Gnostics, Mormons...).
1 moJesus was in Judaism and Muslims follow a similar structure to The Bible not exactly one to one, but similar especially the belief of one God as all these religions share in common.
Iโd say all religions reflect the culture, heritage, traditions of the specific region where they were birthed and the โGodsโ are something mystic and unseen which is also a characteristic closely associated with eachother.
I donโt see much difference in religions, seems to be one of the same cloth at times.10 ReplyThere are basically monotheistic religions, that means they believe in one God, and other religions that have several Gods. Judaism, Christianity and Islam all believe in one God, but their beliefs and doctrines differ. These three have their doctrines written down in the Bible (Christianity), Quran (Islam) and Torah (Judaism).
But it's a complex historical evolution to just explain in a few words.

Anonymous(18-24)1 moWell, Catholics ARE Christians, just not Protestant... but yes, Christians & Muslims worship the same God, the same God as the Jews, the God of Abraham. Interesting thing is that that God, Yahweh, was the God of metallurgy, as part of the pantheon of the Canaanites , which included Baal, hence the acknowledgement of other gods in the 10 commandments.

1 mono. they each have different descriptions. islam worship the god THEY described and say 'this is the only one' not the christian trinity one.
WE CAN'T say they all 'agree god is real' because they each described a different god.

u 1 moCatholics are Christians. And the question of whether Christians and Muslims truly do believe in and worship the same God is a subject of tedious debate.
10 Reply 2.6K opinions shared on Religion & Spirituality topic. No two people share the same God, as everyone's God lives inside their head.
20 ReplyChristians are former Catholics and Jews all believe in YHWH as the LORD of Salvation. Its believed that lucifer came to Muhammad to create the religion of Islam.
