Have you ever experienced the otherworld leaking into our dimension?

As Halloween approaches the veil between this world and the other is supposed to get thinner, allowing spirits to wander over. But that's an oversimplification and fairly modern interpretation. In reality, there's no distinct barrier. The otherworld constantly seeps into ours, in some places subtlety and unnoticed, in others it overwhelms our world and you're in great danger.

There are signs if you know how to read them. Mist forming where it should not, places the wind doesn't blow, the sound of music far from any obvious source, birda singing out of season, the smell of roses in winter, a flat rippleless pond on a windy day, an old house on a hill where yesterday there was none. Time does not run the same, and an overlap plays havoc with our own. Have you ever been for a stroll and wondered where the time went? Or didn't realise you'd been out so long? All signs the two worlds are overlapping.

The danger does not come from strange creatures, those you see mean you no harm. The true danger comes from your desire to stay in the peace that surrounds you, for it is not a place for the living.
