That's important, to some extent, but how many partners have you given your heart? How many times have you been in love?

I've been in love 8 times in 53 years of relationships and marriage. The level of mutual commitment in some of the early relationships did not compare to my later relationships, but the feelings were there and the loss of each of those relationships had a very significant impact on me. One of those relationships lasted 17 years and each of the others lasted at least a year.
