Ghosting in dating is an unfortunate common issue. Although flaky people have always existed the advent of digital technology has enabled people to indulge in their cowardice/insecurities even more so.

Anyway this started with women ghosting men in romantic scenarios, then more men started ghosting women, then women now ghost their friends and I wonder if guys will start ghosting their buddies more.

I have had it happen once but i know my former buddy was dealing with some very serious marital problems. I guess things got real ugly (he has a kid) and he doesn’t want me to see what he has become. I was friends with him and his wife for a very long time.

But as for guys it still does go against the bro code to do that. But who knows? But there is poll data that women ghost more

The journalist tries to justify this behavior as women are “raised to please men and do not want to hurt them with confrontation”.

However I completely disagree with that theory. If a women understands men she will know we care about being RESPECT. And ghosting is very insulting. 95%+ she ghosts out of selfish cowardice.

But now more guys are doing this crap. I just hired a web designer for a minor project recently and he had gone MIA on me despite being very dependable on earlier on several projects.

I would like to believe that maybe something came up in his life. But it’s been over two weeks now and I was depending on him. Something tells me he changed his mind about an agreed upon project and decided to bail.

10 years ago this would almost never happen.

Long story short, I am constantly being hurt. Racially profiled and gaslighted. I HATE IT HERE in Pasadena. I want to move to Glendale.

I have faced a lot of racial discrimination and gaslighting, mostly indirect, by people trying to make me have a "feel good" mentality. Ever since a Hispanic girl from a high school (where I used to go) blocked me off of Instagram I have never felt the same and I have started to trust people much less.

Today at LA Fitness I was recording myself teaching weight loss tricks with a one-liter Gatorade bottle and this boomer karen (guy) accused me of recording him. I never felt discriminated or gaslighted like this before, but when I told on him to an employee (both people are white, the employee has a 999 tattoo with a reverse Christian cross symbol), and explained to him about the racist situation (because IT WAS RACIST duh), I was gaslighted and asked upon, "How was it racist?" As if he was CONDONING the karen's behavior...

I have an opportunity to marry a younger woman who has an excellent personality and is a very hard worker. We have been friends with for a few years now. It was her idea is purely for economical reasons. It would benefit us both.

But I am not in love with her and she knows that. She said she doesn’t care if I date and sleep with other people. This would be a paper marriage.

I have gotten advice for a few trusted people about this. All but one person said it’s a bad idea. I am leaning towards no myself but besides the economical arrangement a part of me wonders if I’ll ever find an ideal partner given my age.

Ever since I hit 36 (in my early 40s now) my dating life has been hell on earth trying to find a truly decent woman I feel attracted to. I have had a few flings with attractive women who would make horrible wives. I tried dating a girl who i felt so so about physically just for her personality. That slowly got agonizing. I ended up breaking up with her and that ended very badly (she went psycho).

However of me just WANTS this life milestone. But I don’t want to be an adulterer. Even though she understands I might date other woman I do have spiritual beliefs. Oddly the Bible doesn’t say anything direct about premarital sex (but it heavily implied that’s not alright). But it is VERY clear about adultery. I wouldn’t feel comfortable cheating on my wife. Even if it really is a paper marriage and it doesn’t sit well with me.

The whole premise of this website is to ask the opposite gender about dating and relationship questions. Given we are anonymous it’s easier to ask questions and get responses without worry about losing face.

And yet I find that most women I talk to do NOT often give good dating advice. I feel that they usually respond to “protect the team” i. e. tell me what to do which is in best interest to another random woman vs. really trying to understand my POV.

For what it’s worth it’s extremely difficult to think and understand the opposite gender. But I don’t always respond to “protect some other guy” depending on the circumstance a woman is going through and asking about.

Sometimes i see women talking about emotionally abusive relationships and encourage them to get tough and draw the line. They struggle because they have feelings which are compromising their judgment (can be true on the man’s side as well). But I don’t like seeing dbag guys get away with that crap. I sure as hell won’t tell the girl to keep enabling them.

But I feel that most women on here (and in general) always give the other woman the benefit of the doubt when they are giving advice to guys. Guys aren’t looking for the answer they want to hear on here. They want the truth so when we ask questions we rarely embellish our circumstances.

Anyway when I am dealing with tough dating situations I find that other men usually give better advice then women. Reason being they are feeling emotions I am feeling so they can look at issue more clear headed. It might be not what I want to hear. But what I NEED to hear. That is what matters.
