*A discussion with a very curious friend inspired this myTake*
PS : This is my first "Take", and it was made with love, precision and obstinacy.
DISCLAIMER : These are not my answers. These are questions and answers I've found in books, on the internet, on TV, etc...
1. What is the most popular name in the World ?
It is the Arab name Mohamed !
2. ... And the most popular surname ?
It is non-surprisingly ... Chang.
Statistically, the average person should be named Mohamed Chang. Statistically...
3. Why do we call it a "computer bug" ?
Why are we talking about "bugs" when our computers fuck up?
It's simply because back in the day, the first "bugs" were caused by real bugs. In 1940, computers weren't as small as they are today; they used to fill an entire room. The heat attracted bugs from everywhere. And sometimes, well, these bugs created short circuits when flying around.
4. Why do pirates wear an eyepatch ?
This isn't for swag or to appear more badass. As if their skull tattoos weren't enough already...
The fact that pirates wore eyepatches had everything to do with being able to see above decks and below them. Pirates had to move below and above decks, from daylight to near complete darkness... thus the eyepatch over one eye to keep it dark-adaptated outside.
5. Why are hot-dogs named this way ?
Hot-dogs come along with German immigrates to the United States in 1870. Charles Feltman, German butcher, would have named his famous sandwich in reference to Teckles, the "Sausage Dogs", also with German origins.

6. Why don't we have the same voice in recordings ?
It's simply because our voice doesn't reach our ears the same way when we talk and when we listen to ourselves on tape.
The voice we hear when we talk is "structure-borne". This means that it is not heard by our eardrums as any regular noise is, but it echoes first in our cranial cavity which has the effect of making it sound deeper than it actually is.
7. Why doesn't extra-strong glue stick inside its tube ?
To solidify, these glues need water, more precisely the water particles we find in the air.
The tubes are thus made to prevent humidity from entering and reach the glue...
8. How many eggs a year does a hen lay?
It completely depends on the breed... Nonetheless, a laying hen lays on average 300 eggs a year.
Side note : a hen lays less and less as it grows old, until it completely stops laying at the age of six. Then, it becomes a family pet... or a family meal.
9. How many stars are there in the Universe ?
It is impossible to know for sure, and I will not be counting them myself. But NASA does exist, thankfully, and they say there could be more stars in the Universe than there are grains of sand on Earth!
10. What quantity of saliva do we produce in our lifetime ?
We produce approximatively 1.5 liters of saliva a day, which means more or less 40 000 liters of saliva in our lifetime.
For info, a tanker can carry 35 000 liters of fluid. Just thinking about this gives me the chills.
11. Why does sweat smell bad ?
This might surprise you, but sweat doesn't smell at all !
Yes, it's true, it is odorless since it gets out of our body. If it quickly becomes smelly, it's because of the bacterias that develop in our sweaty zones (armpits, feet, etc...).
12. Which animal has the BIGGEST sex ?
The big winner is the elephant with a sex size of 2 METERS (= 6.5 ft) ladies and gents !
Side note : the blue whale might be considered the mammal with the biggest sex, but compared with its size, it isn't the one with the biggest one.
13. Should we wet our toothbrush before or after applying the toothpaste ?
... NEITHER.
Toothpaste was made to be effective without having to wet the toothbrush. Dissolution with saliva should be enough.
14. What was the first comment on YouTube ?
The first comment ever posted was a clear, simple "Interesting" posted by COBALTGRUV on the video Me at the Zoo by one of YT's creators.
....
THE END.
For now (?)
