What about the feminists who have been in healthy and happy relationships with men for years? Are they conveniently not 'real' feminists.

Yes it does. Feminism does teach women that they don't need men and that marriage and motherhood is oppression. If women believe the lies that these feminists spew then of course it's going to cause a lot of women to reain single or see men as the proble. True, there are some women who call themselves a feminist and are still in a relationship, but as a whole feminism does a lot of damage to relationships.
Women don't *need* men and men don't *need* women. Everyone can be independent if they wish. And everyone can be dependent if they wish that, too. But in the grand scheme of things, nobody *needs* anyone. We live, we die. And that's not the feminist in me talking, that's just the cynical me. :)
Yes, but why do women need feminists to teach them that they don't need men? Are women not smart enough to thi k for themselves? The point is that feminists encourage women to be single and avoid marriage because men are not needed. That's my point.
I agree... women should make the decision because it's what they want, not because someone else tells them. And if women don't agree with any feminist beliefs, or if they choose to get married and have children, they have somehow failed all progress made for women. It is actually very controlling.
@ashmin Yes, that's my whole point. Why can't they just leave women alone and let them make their own choices? If women want to pursue a career, let them do so. If women want to get married and have children, let them do so. But feminism has an agenda and will not allow women to be free.

His points don't make sense. Feminism does not ruin relationships. Do we live in a world where people do not get in relationships? No. People date and fall in love all the time. Despite the fact that most people in my generation subscribe to gender equality. His views are seriously misinformed and his anger is coming from somewhere else.

I think the issue with extreme feminism, women's studies and other subjects in that field is that they teach you that group X is oppressed and if you say anything other wise than you are a hateful person.
