I was watching an episode of the X-files entitled, that really resonated with me called, "The Lost Art of Forehead Sweat," in which one of the characters explains the reality of the world we are accustomed to living in today thanks to "a certain president," where no one believes anything anyone else says anymore even with literal proof of the truth by personal admission, visual proof, and/or audio proof. One of the characters says:
"When's the last time someone admitted doing something they were ashamed of? Even caught on tape, they just say, 'Well, that was taken out of context.' They don't care if the truth gets out. Because the public no longer knows what is meant by the truth. Believe what you want to believe. That's what everybody does nowadays anyways."
I mean, we can even look at the latest State of the Union address where the president made a lie every 4.5 minutes, and you have highly educated men and women standing up and clapping for him like he's the messiah. Later when questioned on such lies by the press or any other person with the ability to google and look at public records whether these same people stand by the president's words, all these people's pupils dilate into pin pricks and they develop sudden amnesia and later go on to defend the lies, even though they too have the ability to Google or look directly at proof that they are lies.

As also pointed out by this episode, when the truth does come out in the open, people will just assume nowadays that it has to be a lie. They won't do a lick of their own research except to say they won't or don't believe it because person A said it and not person B which leads to a situation where people have no reason to lie if no one is going to believe the truth anymore then they'll believe "fake news."
There is nothing these days that any of us collectively are willing to stand behind anymore and certainly not the truth. This is a danger we've been warned about for the longest time by every conspiracy nut job out there, except now it's fully come to fruition. As long as they tell you the poison is healthy, you'll drink it, and if they tell you the poison is not what killed them, you'll believe it. And if they point you to the source of who made the poison, they'll say, they made the poison, but you'll blame the victims for their misfortune and all because someone said, rather then did you try to listen and find the real truth by fact vs. fiction or someone telling you what to believe.

That doesn't even touch things like the Russian investigation where thousands if not millions were duped by fake news. We don't even have to take it to that high of a level...you can just look at total stupidity like the Tide Pod "challenge." Someone says do this, and people did it, and it spread probably because someone said to themselves, who the hell would be dumb enough to try this poison, let's find out...and they found out.
They planted the ear worm, and it spread. The ads you see, the click bait articles, everyone accusing everyone of everything and saying this is or isn't true. There is no dial lock anymore. We're just spinning deliriously hoping, some of us, to eventually get off the ride and find civility and people who believe in truth, but there are so many willing to just let things be and go along happily which becomes the ultimate danger when one or more of those lies begins to threaten ones life, health, loved ones, or livelihood. What then? It's usually always too late by then because contrary to the saying, ignorance is not bliss, it's simply ignorance.

It's not like Trump invented fake news, you can thank massive negative coverage of him in the media for perpetuating fake news about him.
The only difference now is that with this president you are aware that there's fake news, instead of continuing to be ignorant of it.
Of course fake news has been around, but if you are going to point the blame finger at everyone else and call them liars, cheats, etc., then you might want to back that up by telling the truth yourself. How can the one condeming fake news, be the main one spreading it... I call that hypocrisy. If you want people to tell the truth about you, why are you the main one lying and then backing up those lies with more lies? What sense does that make... please explain in fine detail.
Even *if* he was making up fake news, that doesn't negate the overwhelming fake news directed against him that the mainstream media is responsible for.
This is exactly what I'm talking about here. You're drinking the kool-aid. You've basically told me it's okay if he does fake news... because there is fake news out there about him. How can you slam fake news as being wrong AND tell others they shouldn't spread fake news, when you do it yourself? He is only what now has become the most vocal of the hypocrits. You'd rather have a president openly lying then one who stands up for the truth? You want him to continue to lie to you, America, the world, and you'll just continue to say... but there is fake news out there so it's fine, everything is justified... tell me you are an intelligent enough human being to see the flaw in that logic?
I'm saying, there was fake news regardless of who is president. So while fake news is wrong, Trump isn't any "more wrong" that any other candidate would have been. At least with Trump you get to know about it, you get to see it happening. Furthermore, I place more value in action and policy, so while he's not an ideal president if he makes the right policy choices for the most part then that seems okay. He's the lesser (and more entertaining) of the evils that could be in that office.
So your a Trump hater, got it...
i dont know im sorry
