Maryland is wrong. All guns are protected under the second amendment and I look forward to seeing their laws challenged in federal courts and the supreme court. The second amendment is listed second in the Bill of Rights for a reason. If you don't want kids to get shot in schools, protect them. Their should be armed police officers on every campus.

The Supreme Court has already decided not to hear the case. So good luck with that.
It'll come up eventually. The law is still actively being challenged, so good luck with stopping us. It will come to civil war before the second amendment goes as it should. Corrupt governments deserve to be brought down.
I don't know how the courts can be so dumb to think that AR-15s aren't protected under the second amendment. It meets all the criteria the supreme court set for guns that are protected by the second amendment.
@StickStickity13 seriously? Do you have no other counter point? The supreme court ruled that a gun is protected if it is in common use for lawful purposes. Which the AR-15 is in common use for lawful purposes. Thus it is protected under the second amendment.
And the Supreme Court botched that decision. In what way is an AR-15 needed for "lawful purposes"? Self-defense? LOL
If an AR-15 is needed for self-defense then I need a tank for protection against drunk/terrible drivers. And I'm pretty sure my chances of running into a terrible driver is 10 times more likely then a squad of 15 people breaking into my house since more people are involved in car accidents then altercations that require a gun.
Also that Supreme Court decision was in 2008 long before this trend of mass shooting in schools, churches, concerts, theaters, etc. If this trend keeps up I wonder how that decision would hold up under further scrutiny.
AR-15s are popular sporting rifles. They are used in competitions and hunting all the time. Also, the AR-15 is as deadly as any other semi automatic hunting rifle.
Ban AR's and the next shooter will use an AK, ban the AK's, and he'll use a Mini-14, ban the Mini-14 and he'll use a Keltec, ban the Keltec and he'll use a shotgun, ban the shotguns and he'll use pistols... see where this goes? Ban all the assault weapons you want. A determined bad guy will use anything he can use. So they might as well just come out and say they want total ban on ALL firearms. If you ban the AR, you have to ban everything. The AR is the biggest scapegoat in the news today. (besides Russia). Good luck America.
@StickStickity13 Sure, you don't need that particular rifle, but it is no more dangerous than any other rifle. AR-15s aren't overkill for hunting, most hunting rifles are very similar to the AR-15. The only difference is looks and price.
Do you know what a single shot rifle even is? I doubt it. Also, bolt and lever action rifles can shoot pretty fast as well, especially lever action. https://youtu.be/fG4wNhVaAfc
The M1 Garand is actually a semi automatic rifle. Also, what a single shot rifles means is that the rifle only holds one round, almost no hunting rifle is a single shot rifle. Like I said even lever actions and bolt action rifles can have a pretty fast firing rate.
@StickStickity13 The rifle he was shooting has pretty high fire rate in the right hands it is around the rate of fire of an AR-15 and it is as accurate as an AR-15. Plus it shoots a stronger round than a 223. Tell me again how the AR-15 is more lethal.
@StickStickity13 that rifle he was shooting holds around seven rounds, but there is other like it that can hold more. Also it is very quick to reload those things. As fast if not faster than an AR-15.
Give that same guy the AR-15 he would be more efficient killing with the AR-15. Give any average person an AR-15 or that bolt action rifle and I guarantee the AR-15 kills more.
@StickStickity13 also an average person isn't that good at rapid fire with any gun. Most people can only shoot one round every second with an AR-15 with accuracy.
That's the point, the average person would suck with a bolt action rifle. The gun has a much higher chance of jamming/overheating shooting it like that. Also their accuracy will suffer shooting it like that.
Weren't the leftist the ones who tried to stop mentally ill people from purchasing guns, and then Trump thought it was a good idea to let them have whatever gun they wanted after all? Yeah... there goes your 'hole argument'... (Misspelled 'whole' on purpose, yes.)
Whoa... 80% of people in the U. S. hit their kids. Hard to blame any lack of "discipline" on the left with everyone smacking kids around. Prolly why they're shooting everything. Maybe people should stop.

I'm sorry for their losses, but strong feelings don't lend more credibility to their argument.
Hopefully they just go back to sexting on SnapChat.
Lol that's horrible but ironically kind of true.
Hahaha, shiiieeet, I cannot stop myself from laughing at this.
Ain't shit gonna change, America love their guns to much to care about people's safety.

Nice to see in ky birthday kids will be leaving school

Are nuclear weapons protected under the second amendment?

Tell me how an AR-15 is useful for lawful purposes.
How come I could buy an AR15 legally, 3 years before I could buy a beer? Which is more dangerous for me? Which is more dangerous for society?

You don't need that for hunting, it's completely unnecessary
@StickStickity13 Sure, you don't need that particular rifle, but it is no more dangerous than any other rifle. AR-15s aren't overkill for hunting, most hunting rifles are very similar to the AR-15. The only difference is looks and price.
No one needs any rifle of that kind.
@StickStickity13 of what kind?
For hunting a single shot rifle like the WW1 Garand should suffice. No animal you're hunting g requires a semi automatic.
Do you know what a single shot rifle even is? I doubt it.
Also, bolt and lever action rifles can shoot pretty fast as well, especially lever action. https://youtu.be/fG4wNhVaAfc
Of course I do. Your argument is ridiculous.
Guns with firing rates such as those are completely unnecessary for hunting. They're even more unnecessary in a modern society
The M1 Garand is actually a semi automatic rifle. Also, what a single shot rifles means is that the rifle only holds one round, almost no hunting rifle is a single shot rifle.
Like I said even lever actions and bolt action rifles can have a pretty fast firing rate.
The point still remains, those guns aren't necessary. They make killing easier and aren't good for society
@StickStickity13 What type of guns? Semi automatic guns? I already shown that lever action guns are just as fast.
Semi automatic, and the lever action. Both are unnecessary
@StickStickity13 bolt actions in the right hands can also shot pretty fast. https://youtu.be/x_a7pXWi6xo
However, that's a lot less lethal than an AR-15, and don't even debate me on that we all know that's true.
@StickStickity13 Actually that round that bolt action shoots is a lot more lethal than a 223. Like I said, you don't know much about guns.
The caliber of a gun isn't the only thing that makes a gun deadly. Obviously you don't know much about guns.
@StickStickity13 The rifle he was shooting has pretty high fire rate in the right hands it is around the rate of fire of an AR-15 and it is as accurate as an AR-15. Plus it shoots a stronger round than a 223. Tell me again how the AR-15 is more lethal.
Holds more rounds, easier to reload. Stopping power isn't the only thing that makes a gun lethal.
@StickStickity13 not really. Have you even shot an AR-15 before?
Yes, you don't know what you're talking about. This is ridiculous now.
@StickStickity13 shooting an AR-15 by an average person would result in the same thing.
LOL, okay this is over. You're just making shit up now
@StickStickity13 an average person can't handle rapid fire with an AR-15 either.
IS it a sporting rifle if its purpose is to make it EASIER for the user to shoot and kill more living beings?
Please...
@LittleSally the AR-15 is made to be a sporting rifle. It is no different from any other hunting rifle.
I'm sorry... you completely missed my point.
Its a states right issue so good luck with having congress fix it. Smfh. Liberals are such simpletons and parrots
As opposed to you leftists, who let mental health slide, excused rioting mobs and other criminality, and won't discipline kids?
Weren't the leftist the ones who tried to stop mentally ill people from purchasing guns, and then Trump thought it was a good idea to let them have whatever gun they wanted after all?
Yeah... there goes your 'hole argument'...
(Misspelled 'whole' on purpose, yes.)
@Curmudgeon You might need this

@LittleSally no, Trump never signed nor vetoed any thing like that, as it never got to his desk. Learn how legislative Bills work. But nice try.
I believe she's referring to this:
www.washingtonpost.com/.../...b4fe57ff7_story.html
Wow, a WaPo editorial that reveals nothing about how a bill becomes law! And sgills for amnesty too! A twofer!
If you read it reveals two key points - the public want something, the GOP don't deliver.
In the debate over gun control, that's all many people need to know. Including the school kids, because they're going to be voters soon.
Whoa... 80% of people in the U. S. hit their kids. Hard to blame any lack of "discipline" on the left with everyone smacking kids around. Prolly why they're shooting everything. Maybe people should stop.
Oh, apologies, he just rolled back those regulations set in place before him... So sorry you had to go through this trying to make me seem stupid. =)
I forgot you lived under Trump's desk and know everything that's going on there...
April 20... they’re just walking out to get tanked 😂😂😂😂

Trump: making America an embarrassment again.
The people I know who own AK-47's and such are not going to turn them in because of some new law.
Yes but the fascists on the supreme court will surely overturn that decision.
Why bring this shit onto GirlsAskGuys?
Same reason religious freaks and God botherers do.
Who cares, Im sick of it all. all of them
It is time we start protecting our schools they way we protect our airports
