Cognitive dissonance in OJ Simpson case: A murder case where the race card was used. As discussed in UCL lecture.

I go to UCL and I do Information system with Business. Yesterday, the lecture was about cognitive dissonance with a real life example. However, one black student got so offended that he left the lecture. When the teacher said how the murdered was called the "N" word, he left the lecture even though it was nothing personal and the teacher is not racist. She is Romanian and a LOVELY human being.

After break, when she was told about this by some students, she apologised and looked very sad, she looked like she was about to cry and she looked at the end of the lecture too even though everybody clapped. She felt horrible and very guilty. It was done out of innocence and she was just telling what happened in the court.

We learnt about the OJ Simpson case where members of the jury used cognitive dissonance.

OJ Simpson was black and he murdered his white wife and her new black lover. This was done after the break-up and he did this out of jealousy. The wife was a victim of physical abuse and was murdered when she decided to end the relationship.

There was solid DNA evidence against him.

The blood of his wife was found on her sock and the blood of the new lover was found on the killer's glove and the glove was found in the house too.

In terms of the jury members, 9 members of the jury were black, 1 hispanic and 2 white. 9 were actually women. 9 members thought a professional athlete can never commit a murder. 8 thought it was okay to use forced. 6 never read a newspaper.

There was a plot twist which diverted people's attention from the facts and the truth.

One lawyer called him the "n" word in court and this caused members of the jury to think the police is racist and the guy is innocent.

The race card was used. It triggered emotions and it triggered 9 black members of the jury.

Also, 6 members should have been black and the other 6 should have white.

6 members should have been women and the other 6 should have been men.

3 black women, 3 white women, 3 black men and 3 white men.

Women think emotionally and not logically, they think from their heart not from their head that's why 9 members were females.

9 members thought a professional athlete can never murder someone and 8 thought it was okay to use force on family members. Some never read a newspaper and watch dramas on tabloid about family stories.

First, OJ Simpson was announced innocent, which was shocking to people.

In the end, truth prevailed and justice was served.

In the end, OJ Simpson was found guilty of murdering his wife and her new lover.

In murder cases, one is a murderer and the other is a victim. Race cards should NEVER be used just like gender or age cards should never be used.

Humanity comes first and race comes later.

Politics should not be played in murder cases. Murderers indeed play god. Life and death is supposed to be god's hands. Even if a person feels they have wronged, some things should be left up to god to decide. One should never take law in their hands, or let their emotions and anger get the best of them.

Fire never puts the fire out. Just like water puts the fire out, love should be used against hatred, and goodness should be used against evil, truth against lie and god against satan. If hatred is used to fight hatred, then hatred will win.

Today, lives of British politicians are at risk because of people's political views. MP Anna feels threatened and one German anti-migrant MP was beaten brutally by 3 people. He became unconscious in the street and almost died. The pictures of him wounded are shocking. The attack was politically motivated.
