This is a follow up to my post about playing nicely in the sandbox...

This is my reason I refuse to play nice in the sandbox- This is my reason I refuse to play nice in the sandbox

The retired and ill firefighters who are bringing the plight of Americans sickened from the Sept. 11 terror attacks to Congress still can't quite believe what they heard from the chair of the conservative Freedom Caucus.

Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) seemed to think 9/11 is a New York problem.

So now.. Who chimes in....

Texas...

But I digress..

Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw tried to two-step his way out of a political cow-pie Tuesday, claiming a Staten Island firefighter who survived 9/11 conspired with his local congressman to stain the former Navy Seal officer’s reputation.
Crenshaw found himself boots-deep in controversy after retired FDNY firefighter Rob Serra claimed the Houston Republican snubbed him in the hallway on Capitol Hill, where survivors of the terror attacks lobbied lawmakers on a bill to renew a federal fund to help first responders and their families.

Hmm. Either your asshurt still because Pete Davison insulted you... or something else..

--“He’s conspiring with Max Rose,” Crenshaw said of Serra. “There’s a more malicious underlying motive here I think.”--

NEWSFLASH.. Max Rose is a Staten Island ELECTED REPRESENTATIVE IN A HEAVILY REPUBLICAN DISTRICT..

Both men who are attacking funding for the Victim Compensation Fund.. BOTH MEN.. Crenshaw and Meadows..who are REPUBLICAN are butt hurt...

Rob Serra, who’s wheelchair-bound and lost several colleagues on Sept. 11, 2001, told the Daily News he tried to introduce himself to Crenshaw while lobbying members of Congress about renewing the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund during a visit to Capitol Hill on March 27.
But the Republican lawmaker claimed he was “too busy” and said his office would reach out, according to Serra.

Two weeks later, Serra hasn’t heard from Crenshaw, who has yet to throw his support behind renewing the VCF.

--

Here is another tidbit...

But Serra contended Crenshaw isn’t the right person to lob that rebuke, especially considering Omar is a co-sponsor of the VCF renewal bill.
