A very dysfunctional era

We see many diferent communities rebelling and manifesting nowadays, which is good, because a lot of things needed to be changed or fixed. But majority of the world population is taking this to a whole different level, being picky about irrelevant stuff, or making a big fuss out of little things.

Everyone is way too sensitive now. Can't even say i don't like something anymore, because there will be 1000 super offended people attacking straight after. We are creating a generation of useless crybabies. Specially with the help of social media now. This young generation don't even make a effort to get real jobs anymore. They have no skills at all. All they do is stupid videos and get paid for it. This era is becoming very dysfunctional.

"Kids" seem to "ALWAYS" think that they know "EVERYTHING", but it's the same, every generation! They think they know, then screw up, and look like fools, and LEARN, because THEY DON'T LISTEN to the ones that made those mistakes, before!
For them, THEY KNOW IT ALL, and they do the SAME SHIT, and MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES, not HEARING, and LISTENING!!

Yes, the internet has been one of the greatest developments ever. It allows just about every person on the planet to instantaneously communicate with anyone else, you can access information on every topic, you can get instant news and entertainment, and you can video conference with one of many people.
Unfortunately mankind always goes for the lowest common denominator. Social media has really not helped the human condition. People won't put in the work to get to know one another. Nobody has real conversations anymore. Everything is limited to 255 characters. People do not talk to each other anymore. I teach at a college and I see groups of kids walking to class. They all have their noses buried in their phones. It is sad.

I agree people can be self centered but I do believe that there are people who are not considerate and take it to far. There needs to be a balance.

As it happens with every generation, the nonconformist misfits get the attention and the majority of kids who are doing well get no attention at all.

Some people are incredibly rude and antagonistic to people just because they can online, hiding behind avatars and pseudonyms.
But simultaneously, many people are seeking their worth looking for endless feedback and affirmation online, from essentially strangers.
These two forces are probably equal in quantity and power, thus you have this state of dysfunction.
I hate it too. I hate a lot of things about what the world has come to. But otoh we have more free time than ever before in human history (machine automation does much of the daily domestic work, for instance), and we're soft and relatively lazy and when we're not stressed out from the grind and difficulty and complications of life, we're soothing ourselves with escapism to try and detach and fill the void in fulfillment.

I have to agree this era is becoming more dysfunctional, My 13-year-old fourth cousin was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes but he and his sister are into video games, Netflix there is no way they are getting an education, his sister is age 7, and I know for fact their mother is not homeschooling them cause the cousin's boyfriend got a 2-year-old he has to care for yes just makes no sense, now the cousin, she works as a Nursing Assistant and she claims to be getting her education to become a Registered Nurse it's sad what people do now days , not much we can do

I agree with you, yes a lot of things need to be changed. However, people are being more vocal about issues that we never discussed. That is a problem, it's not because we ignore an issue that it will magically go away. So it needs to be exposed.
Perhaps the internet is responsible for some stupid events that have been taking place and some crazy ideas that people have.

Until society gets out of its "what came first, the chicken or the egg" thinking, then nothing will improve. They just have to start doing something - anything - almost always better than nothing.

In massage, we always try to find the root cause of a problem, often not near the area that hurts. Many times we can't, so we just have to dive in and start working the potential problem areas and hope we can break the pain cycle somewhere in the loop!

I agree. Either humanity will fall and you'll have front row seats to see it all, or humanity will finally rise, sober up, and get its sh*t together, ushering in a new path to utopia (or as close as we can get to it) by the twilight years of you and I. Either way, these are exciting times to be living in, even if fictional dystopias are becoming a reality, everyday. Who can say they witnessed Rome burning? Right now, we're witnessing the Creepy Uncle Biden days.
