Since I live in America and America is such a high-profile government that claims to be about freedom, I'm going to be using examples from them.

1. You have no power.

Whistleblowers Edward Snowden and Julian Assange are hunted with more passion and fervor than high profile serial killers, all for showing us things such as how we are being spied on by our government. The government works for us, we should remind them of that. What kind of employee (gov) spies on the employer (us)?

The media and the government are now one.

3. The government will kill presidents that try to purify it. JFK was obviously killed in my eyes..

4. The CIA is straight-up evil and wants you to believe nothing but lies.

All of that can lead to what Australia has become..

Imagine a government that can order you to take medical treatment without even showing you their credentials for this authority. They can break into your home using whatever force they please.

Governments view us as money making pets, it is time we show them that they work for us.

The U. S. Constitution and Bill of Rights have been gradually subverted over the years. They have not been overturned. They are still the law of the land. But illegal laws have whittled away our rights as citizens and the courts have not upheld those rights.

Omicron, if that's what they've got, is known to be far more infectious than any previous variant and to find it easier to get around vaccinations, which is why boosters are recommended.

The question you should be asking is "how much worse would it have been for them if they hadn't been vaccinated?".

The possible good news is that the new variant seems to be less deadly to people who catch it, but there's still the danger that that will be negated by the speed of spread.

I agree with you about the way whistleblowers are often mistreated by governments and companies... it's completely unacceptable... but we'll have to agree to disagree on your specific examples (which is another example why overall it's great where we live... being able to civilly disagree on certain details and points). I like my whistleblowers to not hide in the Diet Soviet Union or be mixed up in sexual misconduct accusations. The Facebook whistleblower didn't run away and she isn't accused of any illegal misconduct.

Manning released the classified information he (now she) because he (now she) was annoyed the government wouldn't use taxpayer dollars for his (now her) conversion therapy and surgery, not because it was the right thing to do. If the government had paid for Manning's therapy and surgery, none of that information would've been released. In this particular case, it was revenge, not whistleblowing. While that still doesn't excuse the exposed wrongdoing by the government, the actual motivation of Manning's actions aren't irrelevant.

That is highly unlikely. Trump was a Trojan Horse. There were a lot of minor issues where Trump and the democrats disagreed.
