I'm sorry that Charlie has passed but you can't blame our entire religion on what an angry psychopath child did, us too Muslims are not happy for what happen the Charlie and we are angry at this person for taking his life. Islam is about pureness and happiness and being good in every way possible not murder and destruction. Don't blame it Islam, blame it on the person who killed him we don't deserve this. As for the media these days are unbelievable, they go wild and cry for when a man disgraces and disrespects OUR religion but when thousands of little kids and women are murder and men trying to feed and protect their families die and the media turn the other way. Imagine this - your 4 year old baby dies murdered you found him on the floor with a pool of blood around, murdered because of something someone did thousands of miles away and you don't even know him, this man killed you baby... imagine that tiny growl in your stomach grow times 10 and lasts for days because of that man, imagine people take everything you own because of some man... tell me how would you feel? How would you feel if someone offended your God or Jesus for that matter would you be happy and fine with that? Of course you wouldn't kill but you wouldn't stand around doing nothing, so please leave our religion alone and blame that man who took his life, don't let the media get to you and make you say harsh thing about our Prophet and Allah when they and we have done nothing to you, this isn't terrorism this is an act of crime, leave our religion be.

The problem isn't that nobody cares, it's that there are no journalists there to document it. Boko Haram targets reporters whenever they do try to go there.

I agree with you to some extent but what you said is an excuse at some level because it's not about being able to report. You don't always need live coverage of any incident to prove how serious any situation could be. Playing breaking news many times a day does have impact how serious it is.

I was rather bothered by the Pope saying that religion is "off-limits" for satirical papers like this, which have mocked almost everything.

There is nothing sacred enough that it can't be lampooned in a magazine. Having a particular belief doesn't make people more sensitive to others' words, and if it does, that's bad on the belief, not others' words. Society should develop into individuals who aren't captive to other people's freedom of expression, not huddled masses who can censor ever larger parts of others' freedom of expression under the pretense of "sensitivity."
