Every race has stereo types im hispanic (from spain) and native American yet i get called all the mexican stereo types i get followed in stores like ima rob the place i get white and black people calling me "homie" people think i only listen to gangster music or mexican music when i really like everything so trust me i understand you but just know its not just black people who go through this
Of course. There are stereotypes about all races.
Well, sometimes stereotypes can be funny.
I mean, when playing some MMORPG online and when I meet someone from USA/Canada, I sometimes joke when leaving "Shit, bear is drinking nuclear chemicals again, gotta go!" or "Aw hell, vodka froze, since it's -120F, gotta go unfreeze it guys!".
Yeah, they can. Lol
In my community, black people are nonexistent so what's here? Stereotypes. And I must say you took every single stereotype nicely. People should read it to realise the truth.
That was the problem with my old town, black people were almost non-existent. To the point where my little brother ran up to a black guy, the first he'd ever seen in his whole, then, five years of living, and told him, as if the dude didn't already know that he was black. What's even worse, my stepmother got pissed that the guy replied by saying my brother was a 'very rude little boy'. It was true, so why'd she get pissed? What'd she expect him to say
Oh thanks, yeah I didn't know that?
I remember going to an all white town for a band competition at school and feeling so uncomfortable because they had all of these stereotypes. Anyways thanks for reading.
When I went to Nepal, I had people following me and asking/touching my hair. 2 blond white girls and a black girl with braids caused a lot of stares.
in the tri-state of new york this list would be very accurate.
Its part of the reason as to why most white guys won't date black girls, because of stereotypes like this. -_- and there are so many that have this stereotype so it gets difficult.
Exactly, you get it
As a black teenage girl. I do find stereotypes annoying. However, I find this blog rude. I have short hair and I am black. Not because I can't grow hair;however, I like my hair how it is. Just because something it's stereotypical does not mean it's bad.
I feel like people need to point out flaws to act better than others. A lot of people do through this, not just black people.
Thank goodness for this Take. Best thing I read all day. It was very brutally true and I wish more people would stop relying so much on sterootypes.
Glad you liked.
*stereotypes
As a black teen, this is the best MyTake ever. Im so sick of people asking if im mean or if my hair is real but the world is so stereotypical
Yes they are. Thank you for reading. :)
People walk up to you and ask "are you mean?" Yah right not even remotely believable. Hey OP you forgot #11 Blacks lie constantly
@caramelcutieinla I'll probably add a second part.
Are you mean though?
@caramelcutieinla Actually yes they do. I'm a very quiet person and one day i was sitting at lunch and a guy asked why am i quiet and if im nice person. Its not the first time its happened but you dont know me so I dont care what you believe.
@Tormentarian No, only to people who dislike but I'm a sweet person
I think Chris Rock has played a major role in propagating the stereotype that all black women are angry.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bv6vdOcehgcYeah, he's funny though.
yes he's my favourite stand up comedian.
Interesting.. Im mixed race and I met up with my first black girl last night... Prudest girl I've been with yet! ALthough there was a lack of sexual tension between us (I have a high sex drive), She was a really nice girl. Unfortunatly, I dont think I see her more as a friend right now, but would like to keep her in my life if anything happens in the future. (Sex is an important side to me... if we dont feel the passion in the sheets, then...) Im a freak
Glad you enjoyed. 😊
just becasue you wanted sex from her? Evil man
No im not the type to do that either.. But I know what I need and the sexual tension wasn't there... Most guys would agree with this statement
1. Where are you from? I've only heard of 1&2.
2. All stereotypes are ridiculous.
3. Where I'm from your likely to see an overweight white person.
These seem to be black women's stereotypes in the US. :/
1. The US. Pennsylvania.
2. I know right
3. Yep. All people can be overweight.
We're all thick and know how to dance... trash that PLEASE. I can not teach you how to twerk and my lack of ass is not because I starve myself. I am just a petite narrow build!
Here, here!
Same here
Nice take. Spot on. Those with some sense will be able to look past negative stereotypes and get to know someone for themselves instead of listening to what others have to say about them before passing harsh judgments.
Glad you liked it.
11. You're all named things like 'Shabootyquiqui' or 'Bonappetiqua' or 'Fa'nay'nay'.
12. You aren't interested in dating anyone except black guys.
My name is Hannah, and I speak like 5 different languages, I like all different races of men lol im totally willing to date outside of my race I attract all types of men.
My best friend and I are both half black (other half Mexican and Korea, respectively). We happen to have crushes on white guys. We don't know why. It's not like we have this check list and he has to be white, it does turn out that way. I did once have a crush on a Latino (?) guy. But he turned out to be not.. great. I'm not knocking down races, it was just him.
@hanscuit @Vincisomething I don't doubt for one second either of you ladies are interested in dating outside your race. I've gone out with several black girls, but this Take is all about stereotypes, and unfortunately the stereotype is that black girls don't like white guys. There's also some research that shows it backs it up (from dating sites) - the issue is that the stereotype makes guys think that black girls won't be interested in them and so they might not even try asking... :(
11. Uh... my name is Mikayla which is not very "ghetto".
12. White guys can be interested in black girls too... it's all about preference.
Hi, my name is Crystal. I don't speak ebonics. And I've dated black, white, and Hispanic guys, and I'm open to dating all types of guys.
Besides, sometimes the stereotypes go both ways. You say black girls aren't interested in dating white guys... but have you ever thought that it might probably be due to the stereotype that white guys aren't usually interested in black girls? Like it's been mentioned already... a lot of times there is usually a hint of truth in stereotypes.
Oh yea I don't understand.12 I had plenty of people ask me if I date non black guys which is ironic because the only guy that I ever dated was mixed so I have no experience of dating of black guys. And some people think that we don't go after skinny guys or guys with stereotypical smaller jimmies because our V is so pose to be made for black guys (read this online) which is soo dumb
@meatballs21 I understand why you doubt it but I actually really like men of all races, I was raised in a household where dating outside of my race is frowned upon but I have my OWN life and my OWN preferences. You didn't ask what 5 languages I speak but its chinese korean japanese hebrew, and English . So I like Asian men, and I like white guys who like me too, and I like black men and Spanish men, all of them are attractive and attracted to me. My point being, when im 18 im living in Asia or Europe so I can date other people who aren't my race because im interested in them lol.
Thanks for proving my point.
I've been obsessed with interracial dating (I just think it's cool and cute), I'll just look up blogs or tags on Tumblr, lol. I think I'm in my own little world during those times that the "black girls only date black guys" was kind of a bit new to me.
@hanscuit For a self-professed polyglot, your reading comprehension sucks. I said I *DON'T* doubt that you are interested in guys outside your race.
@RainbowFanGirl what have I proved? I think I gave you two perfectly valid stereotypes there. I know they exist, I never said I agree with them.
@meatballs21 My reading comprehension is just fine, i made a mistake and misread something sorry that you got so defensive about it like humans dont make mistakes XD Anywho, yes I understand what you mean by its hard to date black girls because they dont seem interested. But a lot of us are, but im interested in a person for who they are on the inside not just because they're a different race lol. I come from a multiracial background and was raised in a household where dating anyone who wasn't black wasn't frowned upon but also wasn't preferred or encouraged. I just look for who attracts me and who i feel is a kind and genuine person. All the women in my family have normal names, like Sharon, Anya, (They're jewish names) and even some scottish or german names too lol
@hanscuit no problem, I was just mirroring your own defensive response. I have to like someone as a person to want to date them. However, there has to be a physical attraction too.
@meatballs21 yeah i totally understand about the physical part too i think thats the case for everyone.. but i think people need to be more open to their options lol a lot of white and Asian and even other black men won't date anything but their own race! Some people are just too scared or too close minded to change.
Hehehe really nice. Yeah i think you're right on all. Hilarious pics too.
Thanks!
Western issues to be honest; this mentality doesn't ride around the world. I was pretty 'impressed' how racism and stupid discrimination is undeniably prevalent, so disgusting.
Great comment. +1
Oh horse shit. Every nation on Earth has at least one ethnic group against whom they discriminate.
Every race has stereotypes.
@BigJake... Ethnicity and its discrimination one can understand the actual real life social underlying problems and settings; however in the West the prevalence of unintelligent weird thoughts based on peoples Pantone shade is way ostensible and very acute such that people's cultures and mannerisms are caricatured. Here we are talking of black women. Whereas in the outer world people are treated as they cum. Right?
No one stereotypes or discriminates based on skin hue alone. The fact that you believe this to be true shows how much you don't understand about the West. The East is more filled with xenophobia and discrimination than any other place on Earth. China, Japan, and Korea are essentially closed to outsiders, and their people feel not compunction about telling foreigners to leave their countries. Mixed-race people in Korea still face a type of discrimination that hasn't been seen in the West in 100 years.
@BigJake, I was talking in the contest of West so your inception of Korea, China and Japan are pretty flawed because the demographic there is accurately homogeneous and most of it is curiosity and advent of a new kin of people entering the country; at least they don't hide it unlike in the West where we claim the fallacy of a harmonious multiculturalism based on loose definition of a bigoted democracy; so in Japan for example black women are likely to be seen and taken graciously with little judgement in media and among young people... whereas in the West stereotypes are typified everywhere in schools, hospitals, police, MEDIA, etc to explain different people.
It always made me angry anytime I would see or hear any of these stereotypes. Yes there will always be some people who have those traits, but that is the case with every stereotype pertaining to any type of race or religion. Stereotypes are usually the negatives, and rarely the positives which keeps us as a species divided.
Exactly.
The aggressive ones are most heard of everywhere. That's a informative take, its unfortunate racism still exists but people who have strong advocacy like you can put nasty people in their place! :)
Glad you like.
I wouldn't consider it racism, it's just stereotypes based around a skin colour/ethnicity. White people have stereotypes too but no-one calls it racism.
I haven't heard of most of these and I'd never believe them. I was friends with the black girls I went to school with (most of them anyway) and they were always nice and very outgoing.
Glad you think so, and I said you might have not.
I hate those man. I have long hair so people always assume I'm mixed.
Exactly! I hate it too!
Thank-You for posting this! It's about time the Black Community stopped enforcing these bad images for African girls to follow. You have set a great example for other African Girls and girls in general.
You're welcome and thank you❤️
