@Hannah591 Penis size is a very big factor when it comes to dating, and a much bigger factor for black women considering black men are huge. Notice how no black women replied to my post? There's nothing wrong with it though if it's true.

Only americans make these stupid stereotypes, you are affected by them. No other countries people do something like that about afro americans. Here in Turkey many people love black people and do not generalize them like that.

Stereotypes exist for a reason. They don't apply to everyone obviously, but they're prevalent enough to provide the seed of truth that exists at the heart of every stereotype. Most people understand the difference.

The fact of the matter is you're always going to have to dispel stereotypes on a personal basis. The way the human brain works means that stereotyping is inevitable. It's a technique our minds employ to make it easier to process large amounts of sensory information.

There is NO truth to stereotypes because they assume that everyone does it. Most people, including you, don't seem to understand this.

The only truth is that some people are and some people aren't. You can even go further and say that it's been factual in YOUR experience. But to say that stereotypes are true is very inane.

And the human brain isn't to blame for stereotyping. It's society. People can actively choose to ignore stereotypes that they've learned when they see someone fit the profile or believe it---a lot of people do the latter.

There is no truth... And every race has stereotypes, not just black women... They are a stigma that society has deemed on us, and it's not right to label everyone as that.

I said there's a SEED of truth in stereotypes, not that they are true... There's a huge difference. Traits that occur exclusively in a group but not ubiquitously, or traits that occur noticeably more often in one group than another, or traits that manifest in one group in an especially noticeable way, get extrapolated to the entire group. That's the source of stereotypes. It's unfair to those who don't exhibit those traits, but that doesn't mean that the stereotypes materialized out of thin air.

As part of a group, you have to accept that it happens and that you'll have to exhibit to people that they don't apply to you on a personal basis.

in all seriousness, you know statistics do confirm that the 'stereotype' of black women being fat is true, and only about 1/4 black women are a healthy weight.

though yeah, with so many out of wedlock generations, a fair share of black women are going a distance to achieve.

We evaluate "obesity" on BMI scales, which have been PROVEN from doctors to be a false indicator. Besides, there is no way they could have screened the health of every black woman, right?
